Kennedy and Ronald Reagan administrations.Lawrence Kudlow is CNBC’s Senior Contributor. President Trump believes that we need to repeat history – in other words, “drain the swamp.”  In his new book, The Swamp, Eric Bolling presents an anger inducing, amusing, revealing, and outrageous history of American politics -- past and present, Republican and Democrat.  Bolling covers a litany extraordinarily appalling national political scandals, high crimes and misdemeanors, and even events that should have been simply a blip on the radar and mushroomed into a spiraling-out-of-control controversies. Bribery, blackmail, backroom dealings…they’ve always been a part of our political make up, but it seems it’s getting worse all the time. And those that get hurt most are the American people.  The Swamp is chock full of one doozy after another by our elected officials, and mirrors the way Washington national politics currently – and apparently always – has been played out. On July 2nd, 1776, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, and two days later delegates from the 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence, a historic document drafted by Thomas Jefferson.
