When we lived in our house in VA, we had 2 dining areas: 1 formal dining room and 1 eat in kitchen. Both had full sized tables for our growing family of 5. We didn't normally eat in our formal dining room except for Sundays which I made a rule to do that otherwise it seemed like a waste of space. It didn't matter what the meal was since we normally ate as a family (which nowadays can be difficult to do!). But when we moved to NC and had to build a house, we had to decide whether we wanted to dining areas again. Which then got me thinking about whether buyers want to see dining rooms or not. Growing up, I used to LOVE Tinkerbell and her fairy world. There is something about those fairies and magic that makes you feel comfortable and happy. Well, it seems those little girls in us haven't quite grown out of it because there has a been a trend of "fairy bedrooms for adults". Spring decor can be fun to bring out and my favorite way to decorate is with a spring tablescape. Mainly because it doesn't take too much effort and you can use things that are around the house already. Some years I find some little treasures to add around the house, but I try to keep them simple and change out the spring tablescape whenever I can. Interior Home Color. Some of you LOVE to add color to your home, while others like to keep it neutral. Some of you may be afraid to add color because you don't want to mess it up. But I am here to tell you that I've tried several interior home wall colors in my houses and most of the time I get it right. There are some colors that I get talked into and then regret it, but we can make it work around that color too. Specifically I am changing our bedroom color when we get back to our house in North Carolina. My husband picked a goldenrod wall color and while I was ok with it, now after 6+ years I want to change it. The goldenrod color was difficult to work with when it came to coordinating bed covers and in my mind I had a different color palette. Our living rooms. We either hate em or love em. We have spent a lot of time lately in living rooms binge watching Netflix movies especially during the pandemic. Some of us have even spent more time on the couch since March 2020! A study was done on the most time spent in a room and found that most people spend time in the kitchen, followed by time in the living room (or the room with the TV) and the bedroom. It makes sense.
