God is bringing us a new quality of life through Jesus. In this passage, Paul is calling us to live into the new life found in Christ Jesus. When we come to the end of our dead lives, we come to the start of true life. We must die to the ways of death and sin. By being baptized into his death on the cross, we can live into the newness of life. God calls us to walk in the way of Jesus, so we can experience a new way to live.Thus, in Jesus, we become fully alive to God, and dead to sin, and are fit to be used as instruments for the purposes and desires of the Master.

Join us Sunday for our last sermon of the series, contend. We are looking at contending as a disciple of Jesus. A disciple is someone who learns to become like the one they are learning from. The symbol of a disciple is one who follows the way of the cross. The meaning of the cross of Christ in human experience is that it stops any mere “I want to” from functioning as an adequate reason for action. The cross is therefore central to the moral life of humanity. We must contend in a world of death, by the power of the holy spirit in Jesus’ abundant spiritual life.

If we don't prepare for victory, we'll despair till victory.

Faith in Christ is receiving the favor of God in your life.

Love is God’s gift of giving himself to us, so we might give ourselves to others. Christmas is the gift of God to us.

In this passage, we see a scene that is bursting with Joy. The women in this passage are experiencing joy that only comes through the presence of Jesus. The Gospel is what allows people to experience Christmas joy.

God with us | Peace with us

Hope is not wishing for change in the world. Hope is responding to the change that has come into the world. Therefor, the hope of Jesus is not receiving a rope to escape the world, but a blueprint to receive and to begin to build for a redeemed world.

What's the difference of Christ in your life?

The Faithfulness found in God.

God is the true Judge of the World. People fail to be good judges, because those who judge do the very same things they condemn. People believe they can escape judgement because they presume God’s patient kindness, is acceptance. Lastly, God is the only Judge that is impartial in his judgement, because he is the righteous standard. Therefore, God who is the true judge, judges honestly.

The Law in the Heart shows the true identity of a person.

To refuse to worship God as God, is to reject abundant life as life.

God’s bold news will empower us to live bold lives.

In this sermon, we are going to look at God’s mercy and love for our enemies. How God’s love for us extends to our enemies. It is in seeing God’s great love and grace, we really get a picture of the goodness of God.
