Luke 11v33-36 
 No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand. So that those who come in may see the light. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. See to it then, that the light within you is not darkness. Therefore, if your whole body is full of light and no part of the dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you. 
 How we see the world and others matters. The health of our eyes is of extreme importance because our eyes allow us to see the world around us. It is the lantern of life. Our perspective and viewpoint are affected. If our lamp is shaded or hidden, by what fills it. Jesus knows that our lives can be affected by not only what we see, but also how we see the world. The window in which we see the world will also affect the lens on how we see our lives and others around

The Parable of the Sower is a glimpse of what the news of the kingdom does to the human heart. The fruit it produces and the King that provides it.

Do Not Worry Matthew 6v25-34 The rule of the kingdom of God is not orientation of lack, but contentment. Because though you don't have the worldly possessions you want, you have the heavily relationship you need this relationship guarantees, whatever befalls you, will always belong to him. The worry-free life is the God present life. Not that the God- trusting life is free from suffering or trials, but because God is your heavenly Father, that doesn't just know what you need, but he knows your heart's deepest desires. There will never be enough material possessions or strategic moves you can think of, which will safeguard you from suffering discomfort or dissatisfaction. There will always be a deeper ache that won't be healed by more things of this world. Because if there is an ache, there must be something that can meet that ache. Ask, Seek, Knock Matthew chapter 7:7-11 Ask, and it will be given to you seek, and you will find knock, and it will be open to you for everyone who asks, receives, and the one who seeks finds and to the one who knocks it will be open. Or which one of you, if his Son asks him for bread, will give him a stone. Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a. If you then who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask of him. The new year is a gift. What are you asking for this year? What are you seeking? What door are you looking for? These questions are the desired line paths that lead to your deep and most present longings. He reveals our seeking as a prone to wander and invites us as the good shepherd to pick us up and put us around his shoulders to rest in green pastures. Brokenness | 1 Corinthians 5 St.Augustine writes, real love knows how “to love things…in the right order, so that you do not love what is not to be loved, or fail to love what is to be loved, or have a greater love for what should be loved less” (On Christian Doctrine, I.27-28). Therefore, God is good and is the source of all love and that love is good. We are made by God, and our true nature is not evil. Everything in our world has been made by God and it too is good. So where do sin and evil enter? As Ron Rolheiser says, “They enter in when we misuse the good energy that God has given us, and they enter in when we relate in bad ways to the good things of creation.” We can misuse our sexual affection when we use them in self-serving, lustful, greedy, and wicked ways. In this passage, Paul explains how important ones relationship to Church leadership is. Knowing that how one leads is of equal importance to how one follows. God will be the judge of the leader, so followers can follow gospel centered leadership, and leave the judging of which leadership style is better up to God.

We become unified as a church as we embrace union with God. What we do flows from our connection with God.

The wisdom you subscribe to is the destination that will lead you. Will it be a fading trend or a kingdom without end.

In the last passage, Paul contends to make the message of the cross central at the Church of Corinth. Now, Paul builds on the importance of the message of the cross by highlighting the way the message of the cross must be delivered. Paul delivered the Message in Humility, Single Heartedness, Honesty, Holy Spirit-Power, and Hope. Paul’s servant posture in delivering the message of the cross is the same posture that will bring true unity to a Church if they chose to follow in his example.
