It’s Day 3 of Movie Month and I decided to turn things up a notch by watching a movie with TWO words in its title. That’s 100% more title! Today I moved sideways from the Marvel/Sony Universe (X-Men, Deadpool, Formerlly Spider-Man, Fantastic Four) and moved into the main Marvel Cinematic Universe from Marvel Studios (Avengers, etc.) with the 2016 Action/Fantasy movie, Doctor Strange. Whoa, can this be? Is Geek Mentality back from the dead? Well tonight it is at least - because tonight I saw "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and pretty much loved it. I wanted to give my immediate reaction to it so I went on the back deck, and yes it's freezing out, and hit record. Not a lot of detail in my talk, but you can pretty much tell how much I enjoyed it. Now this is how you end a movie month! Tonight I watched 2015’s The Hateful Eight – the eighth film by writer/director Quentin Tarantino. Bloody good fun! And now after 30 days – I’m done! Until next year…

Sure the plot for 2015’s The Revenant was pretty basic. And sure Leonardo DiCaprio was basically indestructible and went from one ordeal to the next. But this movie was gorgeous to look at and both Leo and Tom Hardy were amazing. The bear was pretty good too.

Tonight I watched the sci-fi movie – from 2015 – Chappie. This one has been on my radar for a while – and that’s what this month is all about, watching those movies I’ve been meaning to watch – and I’m glad I did! Check out this cool video showing how Chappie was made!

I woke up this morning and watched the 2015 documentary, The Resurrection of Jake the Snake - an inspiring story about second chances and not giving up...And I guess I must've gotten some dust in my eye or somebody nearby was chopping onions...Yeah, that's it...Onions.

Tonight I thought I’d sit down and watch a nice little ghost story – and that’s exactly what 2015’s Crimson Peak was.

I'm sorry, did you think I was above watching a direct to DVD animated superhero cartoon? Obviously not - because tonight I watched 2015's Batman vs. Robin and when I started it I didn't even realize it was a direct sequel to a movie I watched exactly two years ago yesterday.

I have wonderful news! After watching 2014’s Transformers: Age of Extinction, I am officially caught up with these damn movies and don’t have to watch enough one…This year anyway.

Finally watched the 2015 documentary, The Death of "Superman Lives": What Happened?, which talks all about the Tim Burton/Nicolas Cage Superman movie from the 1990s that almost happened. But didn't. My only issue is that it ended - because I loved every minute of it.

Tonight I had some creepy fun watching 2014's It Follows. Kind've a silly premise, but they still made it into a serious little horror flick.
