It is time to call the 2012 election.  President Obama cannot win.  He will likely lose big, in a very lopsided election.  Pundits will claim to be surprised when the outcome becomes apparent.  They should not be, as the signs of such a result are everywhere, despite the mainstream media's attempts to suppress them. There are numerous reasons why Obama will lose.  Incompetence, likeability, and duplicity are a few.  Obama has alienated too many in the electorate, including large numbers who supported him the first time.  In 2012, many will vote against him or (even better) just stay home.  

Tonights broadcast is dedicated In Loving Memory of : USMC PFC Dan Bullock Dan Bullock was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina.   When he was 14 years old he altered the date on his birth certificate to show he was born December 21, 1949, processed through the recruiting station, and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on September 18, 1968. As a member of Platoon 3039 in Parris Island, he graduated from boot camp on December 10, 1968. Bullock arrived in Vietnam on May 18, 1969 and was assigned as a rifleman in 2nd Squad, 2nd Platoon, Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was stationed at An Hoa Combat Base in Quang Nam Province. He was killed instantly by small arms fire on June 7, 1969, during a North Vietnamese Army night attack while making an ammunition run to resupply his beleaguered unit. Psychological denial is a defense mechanism that is used by everyone at different times in their life to cope with an unacceptable reality. It becomes pathological when it persists for more than a brief time. Denial can either allows the user to come to grips with the pain by temporarily modulating it; or it can usher the user into fantasyland. Tonight We shall present some recent examples of the fantasyland variety:

  Strangely enough, in many respects, the president is relying on the same themes that worked in 2008. In his book, Branding Obamessiah, Mark Edward Taylor wrote about Obama's "Devotional Code" -- religious-sounding rhetorical themes that permeated Obama's communication during his campaign for the presidency.  Taylor identified the "Sacred Six" characteristics -- a creation story, sacred words, sacred images, sacred ritual, true believers, and a messianic leader -- that created a public perception that Barack Obama embodied "hope and change" for the future, that created an image of him as "The One."    

In "The Put-off, Postpone, and Procrastinate Generation" Victor Davis Hanson says that the "therapeutic generation of Americans loves to talk and worry about problems and then assumes that either someone else will solve them or they will go away on their own...." But the problem with our Federal debt is that it will not disappear over time; in fact, it can only get worse. The United States needs some Harry Truman-like plain speaking, instead of each administration putting off a national reckoning onto the next. Don't drill for oil and grow food — and the price for both goes up. Spend what you don't have, and later you will have to pay even more back. The generation that ran up the debt and was largely responsible for the Social Security crisis has a responsibility to make things right on its watch. Such blunt talk is considered political suicide for candidates; in fact, anything less for the rest of us is national suicide.

Karma may be catching up to Big Labor in Wisconsin.  Remember when noisy, vulgar vandals invaded Wisconsin's State Capitol, spray painting graffiti on the pristine white marble? Remember when the legislative Democrats fled the state to prevent majority rule taking place? Remember when the labor unions raised millions to gin up the necessary number of signatures to launch a recall election for Governor Scott Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch?  The bosses made the mistake of believing their own propaganda.

  The Washington Postheralded the election of François Hollande in France as the dawn of a new era, and the birth of a new breed of socialism.  It is described as "free-market social democracy -- a pragmatic ideology in which nationalizations, clenched fists, and hammer and sickle are things of the past."    

If you have a young boy, you've probably watched Disney's Cars 2 about a thousand times.  For those who don't know, at the movie's end (an obligatory spoiler warning here), Sir Miles Axlerod is exposed as a fraud when he's forced to open his hood by Mater, the hayseed hick.  Hold that thought.  

Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged is a mystery novel depicting “the day after tomorrow,” in which the great minds of society decide to withdraw their efforts from the world.  The title is a reference to the Greek myth of Atlas, who carries the weight of the heavens on his shoulders. The novel centers on Dagny Taggart, the head of a major railroad company who struggles to produce even as her company is being crippled by collectivist government regulations. The novel portrays the industrialists, scientists, producers, artists, and philosophers who have gone missing, resulting in disastrous effects on the world at large.

It seems for some that it is enough that he is not Hillary Clinton, viewed by many Democrats as a loser in a general election contest, and not very likable or warm in any case.  But why the rapture over   an inexperienced mistake-prone former State Senator (3 years removed), who broke his promise that he would complete his US Senate term  and not run for higher office. Incidentally, why is this broken promise overlooked by those who think he is elevating our politics?

Let’s see, Barack Obama. Not that manly. Admits he used coke. Married to mannish wife with big, muscular arms (although in all fairness, she does have a nice behind). Could he have done coke and had gay sex with an ex-con Larry Sinclair? It doesn’t seem completely implausible. Still, in all fairness, without any further evidence and with just the Globe on the story, it’s hard to give Larry Sinclair’s story too much credence. Anthony Johnson (? - 1670) was an early black resident of the Virginia Colony. He was one of the original 20 African laborers brought to Jamestown in 1619 as an indentured servant. On records from Jamestown, he is referred to as "Antonio a Negro". In the 1640s, he purchased his freedom from indentured servitude for both himself and his wife and by 1651 he was prosperous enough to import five "servants" of his own, for which he was granted as "headrights". According to the earliest known court records, slavery was first established in Virginia in 1654, when Johnson convinced the court in Northampton County that he was entitled to the lifetime services of John Casor, also a black man. Claiming that he had been imported as an indentured servant, Casor attempted to transfer what he argued was his remaining time of service to Robert Parker, a white, but Johnson insisted that he "had ye Negro for his life.
