Season two of Bam Pow TV is draws to a close but we're sneaking in the first episodes of a couple of season three's run! We polish off a couple more Earth's Mightiest Heroes (s01e18-19) and then dive into the premiers of The Gifted (s01e01) and Marvel's Inhumans (s01e01-3). How well do both of these new properties perform out of the gate? Come hear our thoughts!

How do you spend $195 million less than Green Lantern but still make a better looking movie? You release Guardians, apparently! Tune in as we talk about Russia's first big superhero movie and why our generation is perfectly designed to find a man-bear attractive. We're also heading toward the end of Season 1 of Earth's Mightiest Heroes (s01e16-17) and we still don't know what's going on with Black Widow. Plus, we're almost through Defenders (s01e07) and superheroes taking public transportation may just be the most delightful thing ever. Come check it all out!

It's that time of the year again: we're out of normal TV so we must punish ourselves with questionable movies... First up: Green Lantern! John is back for this as there's no way he could miss Kenneth's disappointed first viewing of the movie. We also have more Earth's Mightiest Heroes (s01e14-15) and we're closing in on the end of Defenders (s01e06) and it sounds like Monica's finally enjoying herself!

We're past the penultimate and straight into the season finale of Preacher (s02e13) and we are overall just very whelmed. We also have a great two-parter with Earth's Mightiest Heroes (s01e12-13) and we're over halfway through Defenders (s01e05) and opinions are still split on it (but Kenneth's is the right one and totally not just because he writes these recaps.)

Step right up, we have it all! Earth's Mightiest Heroes (s01e10-11) are learning to work as a team with a dash of invading foreign countries. Preacher has almost wrapped up season two and we demand more road tripping! Plus Defenders (s01e04) continues the EMH team-theme and we get a great bottle episode. All this plus vaguely inappropriate jokes can be found within so give it a listen!

BPTV's second season is winding down but we have some great shows to talk about today! Earth's Mightiest Heroes (s01e08/09) starts cranking it into high gear as we see the Avengers working together as a team plus go unearth a new member from the ice. (Totally not Captain America...totally). Preacher (s02e11) anchors the middle slot and things are picking up steam again as we head toward its season finale, but will they get the heck out of New Orleans before then??? Last is Defenders (s01e03) and the theme of the week is teaming up! While we appreciated the individual stories, we're here for the group stuff and Defenders is starting to deliver.

We're back and we have soooo many things to talk about! Warning, this episode got away from us a bit and ran long and we fully blame Wynonna's season finale (s02e12) as so. much. happened! We're plowing through EMH (s01e05-07) still and it's officially break out / team up time, plus Monica's problematic boyfriend shows up! As always we have Preacher (s02e10) as well and feelings on this show are starting to diverge within the group. Last but not least, Defenders (s01e02) sees the return of one John to the podcasting chair and he helps us weigh in on this complicated show.

We're ramping up the watching this week as we add The Defenders (S01E01) to our line-up! We also have a great selection of episodes from EMH (S01E03-04), Preacher (S02E09), and the penultimate (Monica's new favorite word) episode of Wynonna (S01E11) where everything is bonkers!

We're into the dog days of summer and starting a new show! Come join us for the first two episodes of Earth's Mightiest Heroes (S01E01-02), after a bit of numbering confusion we kick it off with Iron Man and Thor eps. Over in Earp-O-Clock Land (S02E10), Waverly is having a terrible couple of days but still manages to make it worse. And last but never least, Preacher (S02E08) has a solid downtime episode where we see everyone going just a bit more off their rockers.

It's with both excitement and sadness that we're wrapping up Young Justice season 1; come see why we thought these were two of the best episodes in an already fantastic season. We also have Preacher(S02E07) introducing a secret Jesus murder club and exploring some interesting alternative ways to deal with PTSD. Last but never least, Wynonna (S02E09) gets basically everyone into rocky emotional situations and we just want to shake them all. Come give it all a listen!

We've almost powered through season one of Young Justice and this week we're covering episodes 22-24! We also are continuing through Preacher (S02E06) and man, this episode was soulful. Last but definitely not least, Shelby from Girls Interrupting joins us to talk about one of her favorite shows, Wynonna (S02E08), and man things are ramping up like woah!

We have a jam packed week of shows for you! Young Justice Season 1, eps 18-21, Preacher's Season 2, ep 05, and Wynonna Season 2, ep 07, and so much is going down! Tune in to hear us wonder how YJ can rock so many adult themes in what's in theory a kid's show and how both Preacher and Wynonna are just knocking it out of the park this year. A quick technical note first off - our recording software decided to have some hiccups toward the tail end of the episode; we're sorry about that and are taking steps to avoid it happening in the future. That aside, we have two more Preachers (S02E03&04) and the gang heads down to New Orleans where, as normal, nothing really goes right. We've got another Wynonna (S02E06) and Kenneth's five dollars are already looking more secure! Last, or first really, is Young Justice (S01E16-18) and man, is this even a kid's show? The team deals with some heavy stuff and then, in a real twist for TV, actually talks about it!

We're back from our holiday totally not hangovers and we're bringing Preacher with us! We're working toward being current with it so come listen in as we cover the first two bonkers episodes of Season 2. Then we have two Wynonna eps to cover as well and things are getting weird, awesome, and uncomfortable in about equal measure. Last but not least, it's three more episodes of Young Justice as we watch the team slowly learn to actually trust each other.

So it's been a heck of a week. Apparently half the people we know were born in the first week of July, plus we had to have drinks for America's birthday as well! Due to that, the BPTV team is taking a week off to recover so we thought you might enjoy an episode of Retrofecta, one of our sister podcasts! It's another great week of TV for the Bam Pow team! We knock out three more Young Justice (S01E10-12) and we get some great team ups and good advancement of the meta's meta story. (meta meta, get it?) Then we hop over to the Wynonna-verse (S02E03) where we meet......Tucker.....he who must be crushed by the Earps!

Well it finally happened, dear listeners. We encountered a movie we just could not make it through for the first time... Monica, B, and Kenneth got over halfway through before the constant forehead slaps became too much for them and we all passed out. After the fog wore off we got some chatting in about it. Come see what we think!

We're here to talk about Young Justice and Wynonna! Wally spends some time learning about magic and then getting his memory wiped and he's...actually pretty decent when he's not being creepy toward M'gann. Plus in Earp O'clock it's time to kick butt and get goopy as weird creepy crawlies invade the town.
