We're hyped for all our shows this week but come on, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD (s05e11) is back and rolling into their second story pod of this season. More happens in one episode of this show than we get in half a year of others and it's bonkers! We have a full lineup this week where we also see what Barry's up to post prison in The Flash (s04e13) and the Legends of Tomorrow (s03e13) head out to pirate territory to try and beat Darhk to the earth totem. Last but never least, Black Lightning has what we felt was a slow episode and even then, so much is going on! Come listen to all that and more as we ruminate on the state of superheroes!

Well we've done it. We all managed to find an MCU movie that we agreed on it's placement, but it's unfortunately at the bottom. We have a bit of a BPTV lull this week due to the winter olympics so we're bringing a couple shows out of limbo! We've got the penultimate episode of Runaways (s01e09) where, spoiler, they still haven't run away, plus Frank is back in our eyes in The Punisher (s01e09)! We also have the triumphant return of Legends of Tomorrow (s03e10) where Constantine makes a fantastic appearance, and the ever amazing Black Lightning (s01e05) continues to wow us.

It. Is. Time. We're capping off Phase 1 of the MCU Initiative with a movie that blew us all away at the time and hasn't lost steam in the six years since. Come join the BPTV team as we dig into what makes this movie tick, how Kenneth digs all the character beats (gasp), and how Monica and B dig the final fight even though it's 40 minutes of action (double gasp)!

Black Lightning (s01e03) continues to top all of our favorite charts for the week but the rest of the shows were no slouch either. Supergirl (s03e12) and The Flash (s04e12) both have pulled us back in with a return to better friendship time that we're all here for, and Agents of SHIELD closes out it's first pod arc with some resolutions but a lot of questions.

This week's Marvel Movie Marathon introduces us to Asgard's favorite Odinson, Thor! Join Monica, Beatrice, and Kenneth as they talk about the ins and outs of Kenneth Branagh's attempt at Shakespeare in space, why Jane Foster kicks science butt, how Loki just wanted to be loved and his one little prank spiraled soooo out of control, and why Liam Hemsworth should never invite his brother Chris to auditions.

Kara gets the girl gang together because blue sons kill ever man, ever, in Supergirl (s03e11). Barry's making prison friends and Ralph fiiiiinally ditches that ugly costume in The Flash (s04e11). Jefferson continues to kick ass and take names and we are here. for. it. in the second episode of Black Lightning (s01e02). And last but never least, we talk up a double header of Agents of SHIELD (s05e08/09) and it looks like this pod arc is wrapping up! Comes check all our thoughts and theories right here!

It's with a sad farewell that we say goodbye to The Gifted (s01e12/13) for now, as they send us off with a season finale double header. BUT! We can't stay sad because this week also kicked off CW's new show, Black Lightning! (s01e01). We also have both Supergirl (s03e10) and The Flash (s04e10) back and so many things are happening! Come check out all our thoughts and opinions in this slightly longer than normal episode. (Sorry, we just had so many thoughts!)

We're deep into our Marvel Movie Marathon as we kick off our second movie, The Incredible Hulk! Long regarded as one of the weaker MCU movies, we all found ourselves enjoying it a lot more on re-watch than we would have expected. What did we think about Norton's portrayal of Banner? How did this set a very different tone from Iron Man 1? What might have caused Marvel to pass the Hulk torch along? Listen and find out!

The BPTV team is coming up on the end of both Runaways (s01e08) and Punisher's (s01e08) first seasons and things are coming to a head in them both. BamPow's kicking off their run up to Avenger Infinity Wars! Each week we're watching the MCU movies in chronological order and naturally we're kicking off week one with the spark that started it all, Iron Man 1!
