This week on the Heart of sports we had baseball analyst, author and professor Doug Glanville help us talk sports, social justice and baseball in the current climate. Then we had Inquirer Sixers/NBA reporter Keith Pompey on to continue the discussion of the role of athletes in social justice and the return of the NBA.

We were joined this week to start the show by MLB.com Todd Zolecki to talk some baseball and his new book "Doc: The Roy Halladay story". Then Shane Victorino remembered his teammate with some stories and finally Charlie O'Connor of the Athletic talked the NHL plan for its return and how it impacts the Flyers.

Jeff and Jason talked naming this new video show, recapped the Lance documentary, talked Michael Jordan circa 2011 undermining Michael Jordan in the Last Dance and talk the MLB situation and the impact on minor league players.

This week on the Heart of Sports, we were joined first by award winning ESPN reporter John Barr to talk the successes and struggles of Roy Halladay as seen through the new E60 Documentary coming out "Imperfect." Then Fightins/Ironpigs pitcher Jeff Singer hopped on to talk staying baseball ready, what he misses and what he is doing with the time.

With the sports world starting to stir and make plans for a comeback, we were joined by ESPN and NBC Play by play announcer Mike Corey to talk his journey in sports, the state of sports today and what broadcasting may look like when sports return. Then we had Temple University Senior Associate AD/Strategic Communications Larry Dougherty join us on the state of college sports and the uncertainty it has created moving forward.

Ricky Bottalico started the show with the guys talking all things baseball, from the Korean Baseball Organization to his own journey in the sport and what comes next. Then Philadelphia Union midfielder Mark McKenzie stopped by for some soccer talk and which NBA players he thinks talk the best trash on Twitter.

This week we took a journey back in time with Phillies World Series Champion Greg Dobbs talking everything from his career in the minors, his first home run in his first Major League at bat and what it was like to play for the Series and win the World Series here.  Then we talked with Inquirer Sixers Writer Keith Pompey about the ESPN The Last Dance Documentary, the NBA looking to try to restart and the Sixers losing another member of their front office.

If you've been at home watching the 10 part series "The Last Dance" on ESPN, we started the show with the executive producer of "The Last Dance" Mike Tollin to talk about the original footage, getting Michael Jordan to agree to participate, the creation of the documentary and more. Then we had Philadelphia Union Forward Kacper Prsybylko join the show.

We had another real big show this week. First we had a deep dive with Phillies World Series pitcher Jamie Moyer talking life, baseball, sports psychology serving the community and more. Then Bluecoats forward Haywood Highsmith joined the show to talk basketball and e-gaming.

We had another great show this week with with 2 amazing guests. First the original friend of the Phonetic David Raymond talked about the Power of Fun, the Philadelphia Phillies, the Phanatic and more. Then Author Brad Balukjian talked about his fun new book The Wax Pack: On the Open Road in Search of Baseball’s Afterlife, baseball and baseball cards.

We had Keith Pompey join us to talk state of the NBA, the protocols around COVID-19 testing and what information is released publicly for the league and what players are doing with the down time. Then we had Super Bowl winning former head coach Wade Phillips to talk about his book "Son of Bum" along with some stories about his time on the Buddy Ryan Eagles with Reggie White, Jerome Brown and Clyde Simmons.

The games may have stopped, but the sports world keeps turning. Eagles Insider Dave Spadaro joined us to talk Birds free agency moves and Bleacher Report NBA Writer Yaron Weitzman called in to talk about his new book, "Tanking to the Top" about Sixers and the Process.

While the sports world came to a stop this week, we kept things going talking with Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com about some of the Phillies top prospects and sat down with Philadelphia Union head coach Jim Curtin for an extended conversation.

We had Philly native and ESPN SportsCenter anchor Kevin Negandhi on talking his journey as a sports broadcaster, his Philly fandom, the state of the Sixers and more.

The guys talked to MLB Network Analyst Bill Ripken about his book State of Play: The Old School guide to new school baseball and the state of baseball itself. Then Sixers reporter Keith Pompey called in from Chicago and the All Star Festivities to talk state of the Sixers at the break.

Philly Voice managing Sports Editor Evan Macy was in studio for today's show. First we recapped the Super Bowl and discussed the Eagles coaching changes. Then we talked Sixers and the NBA Trade Deadline and finally we talked some Phillies as Pitchers and Catchers report next week.
