  • Foxtrot Oscar! Chelsea FanCast #295

    30/09/2014 Duración: 01h47min

Good to see Zouma, Ake, Luis and legend Petr Cech getting a start in the Capital One Cup win against Bolton in midweek – a match the pundits thought was a close run thing but of course in reality was a stroll. A stroll for yours truly as well as I was lucky enough to be a guest in the Directors Lounge for the match where I had some personal time with the European and Europa Cup and some Blue Cake at half-time. More of that later. Saturday was also a stroll as Chelsea put the Villains away with a 3-0 win without really getting out of second gear – and remember this was 1st against 3rd. Oscar looks like he is back and Costa scores again. Happy Days at the Bridge. On the show tonight we’ll be having a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Villa and Bolton games and having a chat about what we thought of the two games. We have the Fannies this week for the Villa and Bolton games where we will be awarding our MOTM, COTM, Celery and Guinness moments. All this plus Chelsea Chadders stats and the Chelsea... &

  • The Ghost of Frank Lampard Past! Chelsea FanCast #294

    23/09/2014 Duración: 01h43min

A rather perplexing week! We start our Champions League campaign against Schalke in midweek, strolling it, take our foot off the pedal, allow them back in to the game and get a 1-1 draw. We go to the champions back yard for our biggest test of the season, are under the kosh for most of the game until we get a smash and grab goal that looks like win4479386ning it, only for our greatest ever player to come back to haunt us and score against us to deny us a hard fought three points. It could only happen with Chelsea couldn’t it? Oh well in my book Frank Lampard goals should only ever count for Chelsea which means we really won the game 2-0! Either way we’re still unbeaten, and top of the league with a healthy gap between us and our main rivals. On the show tonight we’ll be having a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Man City and Schalke games and having a chat about what we thought of the two games. We have a combined Fannies this week for the City and Schalke games where we will be awarding our MOTM...

  • Costa Bravo! Chelsea FanCast #293

    16/09/2014 Duración: 01h45min

Pretty much a perfect day at the Bridge on Saturday and tempting to say it was all about one man – Diego Costa. With his first hat-trick for Chelsea that’s now 7 goals in 4 games and some feat. But also nice to see Loic Remy get on the score sheet in his debut. A superb start to the season for Costa and Chelsea, top of the league and there is a belief around Stamford Bridge already that Jose is building something very special here. 4472851On the show we have a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Swansea game and discuss Chelsea's win; Costa's hat-trick and Fabregas' assists as well as Remy's debut goal. And we ask is there a cause for concern with the defence conceding 5 goals in 2 games and does Eden Hazard need more protection. We have the Fannies this week for the Swansea game where we award our MOTM, COTM, Celery and Guinness moments, Rob Shepherd joins us on the phone to discuss whether or International Football is rubbish, will Ronaldo join Chelsea for £500k per week and should Rio Ferdinand...

  • The Day Football Went Mad! Chelsea FanCast #292

    03/09/2014 Duración: 01h44min

Absolutely mental – Everton v Chelsea had a ring of the old skool football match about it in a 9 goal thriller. It could and perhaps should have been all over after 3 minutes as Chelsea roared in to a 2-0 lead. An excellent Everton side just wouldn’t give up, and gave us a good game, but like the fit bird in the nightclub, Chelsea always stayed tantalizingly out of reach. What a game, what a result and what a statement to make. No other sides will put six past Everton at Goodison this season. On the show tonight we’ll be having a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Everton game and discussing one of the most mental games I have ever seen. We also have the Fannies this week for the Everton game where we will be awarding our MOTM, COTM, Celery and Guinness moments. Later in the show we have a chat with Sunday Telegraph Football Correspondent Jason Burt about Chelsea’s transfer business this summer and the impact of Financial Fair Play. We also discuss Chelsea’s Champions’ League draw and we be say...

  • TallyHo! The Chelsea Football FanCast 291

    27/08/2014 Duración: 01h42min

Nothing quite like being back at home and a top day was had by all before and after with quite a few clearly lacking match fitness in the drinking stakes. Thanks to the Finborough Arms for looking after us so well pre-match. As for the match it was definitely a game of two halves as a determined Leicester side proved hard to break down and were a threat on the break. It looked very much like so many games last season until a Jose rollicking at half time clearly woke Chelsea up and it was pretty much one way traffic for the rest of the game as we had the foxes in the run, as Costa and Hazard made sure of the result in a 2-0 win. On the show tonight we’ll be having a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Leicester game and discussing lazy players, a game of two halves and the Return of the Drog. We also have the Fannies this week for the Leicester game where we will be awarding our MOTM, COTM, Celery and Guinness moments. Later in the show we’ll be having a chat with football writer and friend of the...

  • 'Balls Out In Burnley!' The Chelsea Football FanCast #290

    20/08/2014 Duración: 01h40min

It’s back – the thing you have been waiting for since the last kick of the 2013/14 Premier League season. No more pre-season, no more desperately seeking transfer rumours. The most overhyped, bloated, self-publicising and self-opinionated thing in football is back. No, not the Premier League – The Chelsea FanCast!!! Top performance by a new-ish look Chelsea in the grim North last night. Always a potentially tricky match first up, and a banana skin looked on the cards after they went 1-0 down, but thereafter it was all Chelsea as Mourinho seems to have found the balls that were missing from the side last season. A great debut from Fabregas and a debut goal for Costa, but does Courtois selection mean the end for Chelsea legend Petr Cech? On the show tonight we’ll be having a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Burnley game and discussing the impact Costa and Fabregas will have in the Chelsea side and does the performance last night justify Chelsea as title favourites. We’ll also be asking if Courtois...
