Jesus often preached on our attitudes. We know because Matthew and Luke both credited Jesus’ sermons with an introduction to attitudes. Message for Sunday 7/17 In church we frequently hear the word “worship” used as if everyone automatically understands exactly what’s being talked about. As if WE understand what we’re saying when we use it. But do we? Or is the term “worship” kinda vague when we try to define it? When many people use the word, they seem to be referring to “religious singing and music”, as if worship begins with a downbeat and ends with a final chord. But the way the Bible uses the word makes it clear that “worship” is more than a song, more than an experience, and more than an armful of warm fuzzies.  Worship is what defines us as human beings.

There are reasons we feel enslaved and unable to change or grow. We have oppressors. There are tyrants that restrict our freedoms and enslave us.
