He has been a lecturer at Trinity College Dublin and a professor at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. Lord Blunkett was MP for Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough for 28 years until 2015, and served as Education and Employment Secretary, Home Secretary and Work and Pensions Secretary in Tony Blair's Cabinet. Internationally recognised as a conductor and organ recitalist, he has performed all over the world and appeared in the BBC Proms and at many other festivals. As soloist and director James has worked with many of Britain's leading ensembles. He is Music Director of St James' Baroque and appears regularly with the BBC Singers. He is Visiting Professor of Organ and of Choral Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music and was President of the Royal College of Organists from 2011–2013. Clare Moriarty is Permanent Secretary for the Department for Exiting the European Union.     Speaker: Hughie O'Donoghue Chair and interlocutor: Baroness Hale Hughie O'Donoghue is a British painter and Royal Academician whose works explore themes of universal human experience. His paintings, often on an epic scale, meditate on ideas of truth and the relationship between memory and identity. Baroness Hale is President of the Supreme Court. In 2009 she became the first woman Justice of the Supreme Court after a varied career as an academic lawyer, law reformer and judge.
