Predict-o-cast: The Movie Prediction Podcast

This week things are getting freaky as we discuss early 2000s Blair Witch-meets-X-Files series Freaky Links! Hey, did you know the Cretaceous period was a long, long, LONG time before the Civil War? Why is that important? Oh, you'll see. 

This week on the show we're heading back to the heyday of 70s TV comedy to discuss Holmes & Yoyo, a tremendously bizarre cop show about a bumbling detective and his occasionally malfunctioning robot partner. In the half-hour pilot, we get chest calculators, pratfalls that probably actually hurt, and gags that go on way too long. Oh, and Jay Leno is here. 

This week on the show we're heading to the far-off land of Grundo to discuss the surprisingly deep cartoon The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin. We're specifically talking about the penultimate episode, where a secondary villain gets married and a bunch of other stuff happens that we can't understand. We really have no idea what's going on but we do know this: Teddy Ruxpin might be the most serialized cartoon of all time. Enjoy! 

This week, we're hitting the open road with 18 Wheels of Justice, a show that has the courage to cast actual piece of human garbage G. Gordon Liddy as a bad guy! We also get a Peyton Manning clone as a crooked cop, a chili negotiation, and some gold up in them thar hills. Not enough actual truck driving though. 

On this week's episode, we're talking about claymation interstitials-turned-series Bump In The Night, easily one of the most frenetic shows we've ever seen! We also try to figure out exactly what Bumpy and Squishington are, discover what fast food outlet offered Bumpy toys, and cringe hard talking about these musical numbers. 

This week we're talking about action movie-turned-dull TV series Timecop! We barely get acquainted with the future -- the year 2007 to be exact -- before traveling into the past to fight Jack The Ripper. Well, not the actual Jack The Ripper, but a time traveling misogynist incel with a lightning knife who has killed him and taken his place. Plus, riddles and tabloids and H.G. Wells. 

Have you wondered how we picked our website URL (centerofweird.com) but were too afraid to ask? Lucky for you, the mics were hot when we talked through our options and we're releasing this short bonus episode while you wait for Episode 2. 

In this inaugural episode of our new mainline show, we return to our roots to see what's happening in Eerie, Indiana: The Other Dimension! We find it hard to believe no one in 1998 Eerie had ever heard of satellite dishes before. We're also curious what was on that Jell-O channel. Plus Bigfoot and Elvis, two things we've come to expect from our trips to Eerie. 

In this brief intro episode, we lay out what to expect on this new direction for the show and tease what's to come.  Our first full episode drops Monday, February 7th. See you then. 

On the last day of 2021, it's the last mini episode of the year -- and forever! That's right: we're changing the show next year and if you want to know how WEIRD things are going to get, you'll have to listen to this episode!
