In one of the most difficult Bible Passages to interpret, Peter challenges us to stay faithful and strong in Christ. This passage encourages you to keep running strong. As Peter wrote this book, people were being killed because they claimed the name of Christ. He writes to them to say - it will be okay in the end. It will be okay - stay strong in your commitment to Christ.

Peter challenges us to reshape our hearts to focus on Christ rather than our fears, concerns, and circumstances. He wants us to share with others the hope that we have Christ. When people see our walk, may it be filled with a gentle firmness that our lives at centered and sourced in something other than the events of this world.

Peter challenges each of us be honest and look at our hearts. God can help us to develop compassion, love, sympathy, and humility. We need to bring our lives into harmony with God's plan for our lives. We are encouraged to pursue peace while living in the middle of a hostile world.

Peter teaches that we should submit to one another and show each other respect and honor. Women are challenged to focus on the internal matters of the heart. Men are challenged to spend time and know their wives. When we each function in our God given roles, God hears our prayers.

Peter challenges believers to make a real impact on their world. We are challenged to rethink our "rights" and respond in a way that reflects the gospel. Believers must respond differently than the world when we are mistreated or have our "rights" violated. * The 4th message is missing due to a technical problem. 1 Peter 1:22-2:3 Peter encourages the believers to love one another fervently and sincerely. They should be in unity during these difficult times. They need to grow and focus on God's Word and remove a number of unhealthy things from their lives.

An honest look at our thoughts and our actions. A focus on the salvation, redemption, and adoption that God has graciously given us. A challenge to think and act in ways that reflect the fact that our father is Holy and He calls us to be holy.

Salvation described as a living hope, an inheritance, and a glorious joy.
