The Utah Jazz went up against the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis looked like the MVP and helped the Bucks to an easy win.    One of the lone bright spots for the Jazz was the play of Donovan Mitchell who was hitting his mid range with relative ease. Mike Conley in his debut had an off shooting night as he and Bojan Bogdanovic went a combined 0-14. That won't happen every night so it's hard to take too much from this. After one preseason game it is definitely time to overreact to the Jazz playing an NBL team. Besides being on track for the first undefeated NBA season, what else did we learn? The Jazz played with more space than we’ve seen in years with legitimate shooters surrounding by strong center play. It was fun! We also saw some surprising play from Jazz newcomers Bojan Bogdanovic and Ed Davis. We also saw an improved Royce O’neale and a surprising Miye Oni. How much more of this can we expect. The Utah Jazz took care of business in their first NBA Pre Season Game. With most of the team resting including Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley it was Joe Ingles and Bojan Bogdanovic's chance to shine. And they did. Behind leading scorers Kemba Walker and Donovan Mitchell, team USA handled Greece with ease. Giannis Antetokounmpo came out with a flurry of 7 points that included a pull-up three. He was matched by Donovan Mitchell who scored the first 5 points for Team USA. But Team USA was able to cool off Giannis who ended the game with only 15 points. Whenever Antetokounmpo tried to get to the rim, team USA did a solid job of walling off the paint to keep Giannis away. Giannis would then pass off to shooters but Greece shot a dreadful 26% as a team from three and it was one of the major reasons Team USA was able to get the 16-point, 69-53 win.
