The I-70 Killer
01/05/2022 Duración: 40min"I think we are definitely dealing with a serial killer. He's not really getting much money out of the shops. We don't know why he's killing people."Between April and May of 1992, a series of shooting deaths took place in Midwest shops, located intermittently along Interstate 70. Four of the victims - Robin Fuldauer, Patricia Smith, Nancy Kitzmiller, and Sarah Blessing - were young brunettes. The other two - Patricia Magers and Michael "Mick" McCown - appeared to be outliers. For years, investigators have struggled to determine why the offender committed these crimes, with robbery and sexual assault not believed to be motives. And while the offender hasn't yet been caught, he has been linked to other crimes committed in Texas and Indiana, including a 2001 murder in which the offender was caught on surveillance footage...To view the surveillance footage of the offender from the 2001 murder of Billy Brossman in Terra Haute, Indiana, please view and share the clip from KMOV St. Louis linked below:https://www.you

The Dayton Strangler
17/04/2022 Duración: 43min"The further the investigation is conducted the deeper the mystery becomes..."Almost exactly two years after the attacks in Cumminsville, Ohio came to an end, a nearly-identical fiend began assaulting and murdering women approximately fifty miles north, in Dayton. First came the murder of Dona Gilman in November of 1906, followed by the murders of Anna Markowitz and her boyfriend Abe Cohan approximately nine months later. Two more women would meet their fate in January of 1909 - Mary Forschner and Elizabeth Fulhart - before the offender's crimes came to a mysterious end... The Cumminsville Ripper
10/04/2022 Duración: 49min"The girl's head rested in a big pool of blood. Her eyes were wide open. The teeth were missing, and her face completely covered with blood. In one hand was clasped a transfer."Throughout 1904, a series of assaults and murders would make headlines in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Cumminsville. There, in the area surrounding Spring Grove Cemetery, a beast of a man preyed upon vulnerable women traveling at night. Three women would fall prey to the killer - Mary McDonald, Lulu Mueller, and Alma Steinway - but dozens of others would report close calls or run-ins with the ripper, who seemed to commit his crimes within close proximity to the area's rail lines...The map of the locations described in this episode can be viewed at the following Google Earth link. MV Joyita
20/03/2022 Duración: 38min"The vessel would never sink unless she broke up... I just can't understand why everybody would have abandoned her."On 10 November 1955, Captain Gerald Douglas of the merchant ship Tuvalu sighted the MV Joyita in the South Pacific near Fiji. The Joyita had left Samoa in the first week of October and was five weeks overdue to arrive in the Tokelau Islands, a territory of New Zealand, and was nearly 800 miles off-course. The Enfield Monster

We’re afraid they’ll kill somebody.”Throughout 1973, residents in and near the communities of Murphysboro, Mt. Vernon and Edwardsville reported sightings of a monster. Locals gave the creature a number of colorful monikers, depending on where it was seen. The Big Muddy Monster. The Murphysboro Monster. The Pumphouse Monster. Dana Chisholm
06/03/2022 Duración: 26min"She lived two very separate lives. We all think about the small-town girl who comes to the big city, meets predators who prey on her and that leads to her demise. But that is not the case here. Dana was very savvy."In the early morning hours of 27 February 1995, the parents of 25-year-old Dana Chisholm received a phone call from a man claiming to be an lieutenant with the Metropolitan Police Department. They were told that Dana - living more than 400 miles away from them in Washington D.C. - had been arrested for prostitution. Hours later, Dana's parents would reach out to the same officer, only to discover that he had not been who he said he was. Fearing that something had happened to their daughter, they'd ask officers with the Metro P.D. to check in on Dana...Episode researched, written, hosted, and produced by Micheal WhelanOriginal music created by Micheal Whelan through Amper MusicUnresolved theme song courtesy of Ailsa TravesLearn more about this podcast at http://unresolved.meIf you would like to sup

William Fenzau
23/01/2022 Duración: 01h08min"William stood strong in who he was. If the world didn't like that he was queer, fuck the world."On 7 June 2005, the body of William Fenzau was discovered in his Miami, Florida home. Having been stabbed dozens of times in the neck, chest, back, and arms, investigators initially theorized that more than one killer had been involved in the vicious attack. As detectives got to work trying to track down William's killer(s), producers and cameramen from A&E's "The First 48" followed closely. The program would end up covering the vast cast of characters that had come into William's life in the months before his death - many of whom were prominent figures in Miami's illicit methamphetamine market - but answers remain out-of-reach nearly two decades later...Special thanks to William's sister Lori Grande for agreeing to speak with me. The Annecy Shootings
26/12/2021 Duración: 35min"I won't say it was professional, what I will say is it was tremendous savagery. And what is certain is that somebody wanted to kill."On the afternoon of 5 September 2012, an attack took place just off of the Route Forestière Domaniale de la Combe d'Ire, a quiet mountain road in southeastern France, near Lake Annecy. The attack claimed the lives of four people - Saad al-Hilli, his wife Iqbal al-Hilli, her mother Suhaila al-Allaf, and French cyclist Sylvain Mollier - and left the al-Hilli's two young daughters traumatized. In the years since, investigators have probed the victims' backgrounds in hope of finding a cause, but have been left empty-handed. The working theory is that the culprit was a "lone psychopath" who committed the crime for no real reason...Episode written & researched by Olivia ParadiceEpisode hosted & produced by Micheal WhelanOriginal music created by Micheal Whelan through Amper MusicTheme music created and composed by Ailsa TravesLearn more about this podcast at http://unresolved
