South Bay Church

For some people, the truth is hard to determine or understand. With God, through Jesus, we have the absolute truth and we can trust it. Jesus not only spoke it, but lived it and provide us with the perfect example.

In life, there are warning signs when things are going bad. Most times, it's God providing us with those warning signs. We just have to open our eyes to what he is showing us and see the signs.

The world test everyone. Some people are able to fake it and appear strong. Those that are able to focus on God can truly stand up to the challenges. This comes from their brokeness not about being beaten down, but truly broken before God.

In life, there are many things that can seem really important. The question you have to ask yourself is, 'important to whom?'. Ultimately, if it's not important to God, then does it really matter. 3 things that God cares about: righteousness, peace and joy. Is this what matters to you?

{So sorry, however the first half of the lesson is difficult to hear} Life does not come with details some times, but God provides all the details we need. You just gotta read The red print, which is how Jesus teaches us to live life.

Very often, what we think we want is not really what we want. Jesus knew what he wanted and needed. He helps us understand what we should want. However, when we don't get it, we need to understand what we should want to want. Jesus can help us with that to. Enjoy a study on Judas, an unlikely character, but one who helps us understand where our hearts and minds should be at.

What does a Christian look like? There is no outward appearance that signifies us as followers of Christ. It's what's on the inside that sets us apart from others in the world: compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Sometimes, following others can be a scary thing. We never know where they might lead. Jesus calls us to be fearless as we follow him because he provides us with the truth.

Life does not always go as we would expect. Often times, God will test our faith and bring us to the edge. If we trust in him and following his word, we can see that the edge is much farther out than we thought.

Who we follow/hang around with can definitely affect our character. People with lower morale character can, over time, drag us down with them. Jesus provides the spiritual lift we need and the authority to follow the true leader.

Easter is all about the resurrection of Jesus. It is also usually one of the few days that most people attend church. Jesus died for us so that we would live every day for him

Your upbringing does not define who you are or will become. Moses was born a peasant, raised as a prince, and God used him to lead his people out of slavery. When we rely on who we think we are, we limit our chances in life. With God, though, anything can happen.

Ever been faced with a situation that is scary or unnerving? Would putting your trust in God have helped you be strong and courageous through that event? David was able to do this and, through God's strength, was able to save all of Isreal by defeating Goliath. He decided to have faith.

Just because your young does not mean you cannot do great things. Joseph was the youngest of his brothers, but did amazing thing because of his faith in God. Hold strong and God will always bless.

We can all be prideful and selfish. If there is one thing that most people would consider greater than themselves (even if they don't live that way) is God above. We as disciples must surrender our lives to this.
