What is wise Biblical leadership and how does this play out practically?  Servant leadership is common language today, but what does this really look like? Brokenness and addiction are prevalent in our communities, churches, and nations.  Drug overdoses have gone up significantly in North America and our addictions to media, entertainment, and consumerism have only increased.  Today we had a conversation with Aaron White about the descriptive and prescriptive beatitude community Jesus calls us into and out of our addictions.  Aaron White is a pastor, author, and resident theologian for Jacob's Well and 24-7 Prayer Canada. Often we think of food as simply our source of energy or something we share together at the dinner table, but have you ever thought of food in regards to discipleship and following Christ?  Dana Robinson has recently written a book on this very subject, specifically how food was used to form and shape Early Christianity.  We had a wonderful conversation about her book, "Food, Virtue, and the Shaping of Early Christianity."  In it we discuss the Early Church and how the dinner table, food, and following Christ were all tied together.  We also discussed how this might impact our modern understanding of food and our walk with Christ.  Enjoy this conversation!
