In chapter six of the book of Matthew, Jesus brings the focus of this message from things we should not be doing to things we should be doing. There are three things Jesus shares that we should practice in a way that will help us take the attention off of ourselves. Those three things are giving, praying, and fasting. The common approach to all of these is to do them in secret.
