  • Civil Discourse | Progressive Radio-GOP War on Workers; Debt Ceiling; Gay Rights

    15/02/2014 Duración: 56min

JANESVILLE COMMUNITY RADIO PROUDLY PRESENTS:                CIVIL DISCOURSE   Civil Discourse is a local Progressive Radio Program, hosted by former State Senator Peter Bear and Eric Brant. Peter and Eric connect the dots from historical events to current issues in an effort to correctly predict the outcomes. We lay out current events, expand on the issues, and blend facts with our own take on the subject matter. This show aims to easily and accurately break down complex political situations for working America. This week we talk about Wisconsin State Senator Glenn Grothman's bill to increase the workweek to 7 days as the Republican Party continues to chip away at worker's rights. The House and Senate passed a clean debt ceiling increase.  Does this mean the GOP is "back together," or does the trained eye see that this is more proof of a fractured party? As more states recognize gay marriage rights, Wisconsin is now in the crosshairs.  Scott Walker says it won't happen, but what can we expect?
