CJ Solar, a songwriter with cuts by Jerrod Niemann and Justin Moore, as well as a touring artist himself, stops by the office. Jacob sits down with CJ, both learning about his life and also his path and experiences in the music industry world so far. Drew Smith is a songwriter, a producer, and an artist. His songs have been recorded by Randy Houser and Merle Haggard most notably. Drew stops by Jacob's to hang out and talk a while about writing, publishing, royalties, and of course the paths that got him to where he is today. Brothers Stewart and Garrett Mann, of the Texas-based group The Statesboro Revue stopped by Jacob’s hotel room on the road to chat. They discuss being in a band with your brother, how that can be positive and negative, what led them to want to play music, which one thinks they’re better looking (no one could agree on that one), among other random thoughts and shenanigans. Founding member of the country group Love & Theft, Brian Bandas has seen many sides, both ups and downs, of the music business. Brian and Jacob discuss Brian’s decision to bow out of Love & Theft during their climb, and ultimately his decision to step down from a career in music to focus on his family. Of course there are other tales of his music career, family life, and talk of how Jacob and Brian’s paths crossed along the way, with some acoustic guitar-picking to round out the visit.

Adam Hood is a singer-songwriter in every sense of the words. Songs of his have been recorded by artists and groups like Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town, among others. Aside from being a successful songwriter, he also has his own career as a touring artist, spending most of his time playing the Texas music scene. Adam stopped by the office, drank some coffee, told some stories and even jammed with Jacob at the end of the podcast. Enjoy!

Chance Gray, from the small town of Fyffe, AL, worked his way from taking out trash and stocking beer in a downtown Nashville bar to working in merchandise for acts such as Taylor Swift (1989 Tour), Marty Stuart, Olivia Newton-John, Jerrod Niemann, among others. He's now merchandise manager for acclaimed Americana artist Jason Isbell, while also continuing to write songs and record his own music. He and Jacob discuss all these things and more, learning how one thing led to another and got Chance where he is today, and what could be next.
