Our WSJM Sports Player of the Week is Daniel Mandujano of Watervliet boys cross country. Daniel is a senior at Watervliet High School Daniel won the Boys Division 3 Individual Regional race at Portage Central, with a time of 16:28. He was 14 seconds faster than the second place finisher. Earlier this season he came in 2nd place at the Berrien County Invitational with a time of 16:27.  And his 9th place finish time of 16:16 at the Portage Invitational set a new Watervliet school record for a 5,000 meter races Daniel is also a member of the Watervliet track team, and in the classroom he carries a 4.2 Grade Point Average. Our WSJM Sports Player of the Week is Jake Franklin of Buchanan Bucks football. Jake is a senior at Buchanan High School Jake returned to the lineup at quarterback against Dowagiac last week after breaking his collar bone earlier in the season.   In the Bucks 35-18 Lakeland Conference win at Dowagiac, Jake was 18 of 32 passing for 262 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Jake is a three sport athlete at Buchanan and in addition to football Jake also plays Basketball and Baseball. In the classroom, Jake carries a 3.7 Grade Point Average.
