This week we talk about the first 4 games of the Bruins-Islanders playoff series. We're a little frustrated by the Isles who can really make a defensive game look pretty dull. Not 2016-2017 Ottawa Senators Neutral Zone Trap dull but still . Geoff shares the secret to Mathew Barzal's recent success. And of course, we complain about the Bruins because we can (and should).

This week, we talk as much as we can about the Bruins as this season is winding down. They made the playoffs! As of Sunday, we had no idea who they would face in the postseason. We wrap our heads around the situation with the New York Rangers and wtf happened against the Capitals this week. For some reason, we take an interlude to speak about pop and other forms of music because we aren't names Bearly on Topic for nothing.

This week, we revel in the week that David Krejci had, returning to his Matrix form. We also talk about the new look third line. The NHL has a couple if new broadcast partners for the next seven years and we discuss the finer details of the deals. Will it be good for the NHL? Will it help grow the game? Find out what we think.

This week we decide not to take a deep dive on the games but talk about interesting aspects of them. NIck clarifies his comments last week on the Reilly trade and we compare the trade deals this season to the 2019 deadline deals. We have a spirited discussion of what the Seventh Player Award really means as it seems that NESN has tweaked that. They have also presented a curated list of who fans can vote for: hint, it cannot be Brad Marchand. Geoff and Nick discuss the week in which relegation and the Super League were stories and how they could/ couldn't work in the US.

This week, we're talking about the exciting week of hockey that happened after the trade deadline which saw the additions of 2LW Taylor Hall, 4C Curtis Lazar, and D Mike Reilly. What do we like so far? Who do we like right now? Will Bruins hockey be fun to watch again?

Since the Bruins are facing the New York Rangers, Geoff and VA talk about the Tony DeAngelo situation.
