The Messiah came. He ascended back into heaven. We had so many questions answered, but we are left with new questions. One of the most pressing questions is what are we to do while we wait on the Second Coming of Christ?

Noah is all set to exit the ark and start over. The first thing he does, however, is pause to acknowledge God’s mercy and provision by building an altar and offering a sacrifice in worship. Noah’s response to God’s grace and provision was worship. What is our response to what God has done for us in Jesus Christ?

Noah knew God and built the Ark. When the time came for God to send the flood, Noah and his family were saved, but they spent a year on the boat. Have you ever wondered if God has forgotten you? You followed Him, but feel like He may have lost track of you and you life. Noah discovered the good news about God, is that He is attentive to our situation even when He seems like He is not.

Noah is famous for building the Ark and escaping the wrath of God. It seems that people like Noah are different than we are. But in reality, they are more like us than we know. We may not have to build an ark to escape the flood, but we are to live our lives just like Noah.

Luke shares the teaching of Christ on the discipline of prayer and the necessity of faith. These are areas that each of us will need encouragement to mature. Jesus instructs them and us with stories and statements. > Scripture references Luke 18:1-17 >

Most of us have some version of the story of Noah. It may be from church, school or theater. Noah had a bigger purpose than just what He did. His purpose reminds us that we have a purpose that is bigger than things we do.

We are all in need of recovery from sin and the effects it has caused in our lives. One of our weekly programs is Celebrate Recovery. It is a program designed to help us work through our hurts, habits and hang ups.

The study of the end times creates a fascinating discussion. Jesus has this discussion with the religious leaders and the disciples of His day. What can we learn about the future from their discussions and how does it impact today?

The church throughout history has taken much criticism on the issue of stewardship. Treasure, time and talents are given for us to be generous, but often can take us down the path of greed. The Gospel confronts us with grace that transforms our views and relationships with the things we oversee. scripture Luke 19:1-10

The impact of grace is seen in the ways that we respond to God. Jesus healed ten lepers. Only one gave evidence of transformational faith. What is our response to the mercy of God found in Jesus Christ? scripture reference Luke 17:11-19

We are often unaware of our bent toward sin in our relationships. The The gospel confronts us in our prejudices and hypocrisy. The gospel confronts and expands us in how, and who we have fellowship with so that He might be glorified and people can be saved.

Jesus gave his disciples specific instructions on how they are to live and represent Him. He trains them on how they are live and minister to one another. Those words are good for all of his disciples.

We are commanded to take the gospel to the world and to teach people the gospel as well. What fears keep you from sharing Christ in your world? How can you get the courage to make disciples?

Luke gives us insight into the authority and knowledge of Jesus as He confronts those who seek to justify themselves and the consequences that it will bring. Eternal destinations are determined by how we seek justification of God. It is an eternal matter.

Our vision is to glorify God. We do this in our worship of God. We amplify and magnify His name to show the riches of His grace.

Jesus was perfect in every virtue. He challenges his disciples to display those very same virtues by trusting in Him. In Luke 16, Jesus amplifies a virtue that many of us don’t often consider when it comes to day to day living.

Each believer has a personal identity and a corporate identity as well. Understanding what it means to be a Christian, is growing in knowledge of who I am individually as well as communally with the church as a whole. This series will help to know who we are together and what we should be doing as one for the glory of God.

One year is ending and a new year is beginning. What plans are you making? What changes are you anticipating? The Apostle Paul gives us some good advice on how to approach the new year and life everyday.

Christmas reminds us of the hope we have in Jesus Christ. It was a dark time and a dark night, but we discover in Bethlehem that there is a spark of hope that will eventually blaze across the world.
