This is an abbreviated sermon based on Paul's condemnation of the hollow, deceptive truths and philosophies that were threatening the Colossian community.  We only made it through the first of three points - the false claim that Jesus was not the Son of God. Jesus makes the claim: I am the light of the world, 3 times in the Gospel of John.  Primarily he does this on the last day of the Festival of Tabernacles in John 8.  Many fascinating discoveries are found as we observe what Jesus was doing when he makes this claim.
