  • S4E28 Welcome to Hell

    17/02/2015 Duración: 01h07min

I start the podcast with a little positivity, despite Rangers being beaten 2-0 by Hibs. John goes on to be positive about a positive result (from Aberdeen), which is not the SFF podcast theme this week. Greig proves he is the romantic in the team. Despite me being all for welcoming foreign football teams to our country and perhaps allowing them use of training facilities ;), John has a different tact. Alcohol at football is a hot topic once again, and we all seem generally in favour, but realise the potential pitfalls. Greig’s main concern is that they might sell Carling at Fir Park. It wasn’t easy, but we persuaded Greig that Celtic -4 wasn’t a good idea for the McBookie charity bet. Instead we went for Brechin, Dundee United and Motherwell/Dundee BTTS, which returns £60.50 for a tenner. We stick with Jamie Longworth as he delivered this past weekend. And Celtic have a European game on Thursday against Internatio, Internazio, Inter Milan. Did I mention that it was on the telly? Thank you to McBookie for dona

  • S4E27 Scottish Cup and Proving Intent

    10/02/2015 Duración: 53min

It was Scottish Cup weekend for 16 Scottish clubs this past weekend, with 3 of the games on the telly. John and Krys join me to discuss the games. Amongst other things, we discuss proving intent when it comes to malicious offences like stamping on an opponent. It’s an interesting topic to some, but not to Jonathan Sutherland who thinks we should just use our eyes. In addition we have some good news for the charity bet. I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but there might have been a very large addition to the prize pot. This weekend’s @McBookie charity bet is a double on Dundee Utd and Inverness. £10 on that returns £40.43 at the time of recording. Jamie Longworth is our choice for first scorer since he has to make up for letting us down the last time. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. • S4E26 Greig's in Talks with a Rival Podcast

    03/02/2015 Duración: 01h03min

It’s transfer deadline day and Greig is missing, presumably in talks with another podcast. 1-1 draws, transfers, semi finals, naughty songs, crap pitches, bawbags, cola, Prem predictions and of course the charity bet, all feature. Declan McManus is our pick for the first scorer charity bet this weekend. We have also went for a treble of Aberdeen, Hearts and Morton. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. The podcast is available via RSS or iTunes. SFFPodcast On Twitter http://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/

  • S4E25 Craig's in a Spin

    26/01/2015 Duración: 58min

Craig skips the podcast in favour of attending a spin class (no, really) so Krys takes up hosting duties once more to discuss two rounds of matches in the SPFL Premiership with John and Greig. There's also yet more charity bet woes, a look at the lack of action so far in the transfer window, a preview of the big Scottish League Cup semi final - as well as a mention of Celtic playing Rangers in the other one - some more Premiership predictions and yet another attempt at winning some money for charity. And speaking of charity, we end with a discussion on the success of the Fernando Ricksen benefit match. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. sffpodcast On Twitterhttp://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/

  • S4E24 Greig and John are on Gardening Leave

    20/01/2015 Duración: 01h13s

Greig and John are on gardening leave, so that leaves Krys and I to talk about the football at the weekend. Dodgy camera angles, dodgy weather and some decent goals are the order of the day. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. The podcast is available via RSS or iTunes. SFFPodcast On Twitter http://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/

  • S4E23 Six Team Premiership

    13/01/2015 Duración: 43min

John returns for his first podcast of the year, alongside Greig and I. Krys takes the night off to watch the football. We discuss the three Premiership games of the weekend, as well as a little of the Hamilton vs Dundee United game. The latter game is only mentioned briefly, even then it’s only the scoreline, because it was on as we recorded the podcast. The McBookie charity bet is Dundee United, Morton and Peterhead. A tenner on that returns £82.44 at todays prices. We have Cummings as our pick for the first scorer bet. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. • S4E22 Fitba, Darts, RAJAR and Fairy Tales

    06/01/2015 Duración: 51min

Greig and John have taken the week off, so it’s a chance for some one on one time between me and Krys. The obvious topics of BARB, RAJAR and the darts are mentioned, alongside Horrid Henry and Game of Thrones. Krys might also introduce book corner at some point over the next year. Oh, and we talk a lot about football. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. SFFPodcast On Twitter http://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/ Craig

  • S4E21 Greig's a Total Diva

    30/12/2014 Duración: 01h08min

In the last SFF podcast of the year, John, Krys and I discuss the last week in Scottish football (as well as some other random stuff). As usual, we have the McBookie charity bet, Premiership review and predictions. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. The podcast is available via RSS, iTunes, or you can listen using the widget below. SFFPodcast On Twitter http://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/

  • S4E20 Christmas Podcast

    23/12/2014 Duración: 01h07min

With Christmas around the corner, we decide to have a Christmas themed podcast, featuring all four of the podcast regulars – me (Craig), Greig, John and Krys. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean that we recite the full Nativity, it simply means that we all have a drink. Well, technically I didn’t drink any alcohol, but I did discuss my love of Tennent’s (hint, hint for a freebie case of Tennent’s if anyone at the Wellpark Brewery is reading/listening to this). We start off with what is a bit of a regular occurrence – a negative review of how the McBookie charity bet went. Motherwell held up their end of the bargain, but Partick Thistle let us down. To be specific, it was the own goal by Balatoni that let us, and charity, down. We didn’t do too well in the charity bet either, despite Krys almost picking the correct Arbroath player. I might have to take the blame there. This week’s charity bet wasn’t the easiest bet to put on. I think we covered almost every game in Scotland as we tried to come up with a treble. Gre

  • S4E19 What Now for Rangers

    16/12/2014 Duración: 01h14min

Greig and John are MIA, so it’s Krys and me this week. We review Celtic’s final Europa League game, Queen of the South vs Rangers and all the games in the Premiership. Away from match reviews, we focus on McCoist’s resignation, as well as Mike Ashley’s involvement with Rangers. We are looking for football player names that are either places, football club names, or similar. Send in any entries to SFFPodcast on Twitter. We give our score predictions for the upcoming Premiership games. We end with the McBookie charity bet. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. The podcast is available via RSS, iTunes, or you can listen using the widget below. SFFPodcast On Twitter http://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/

  • S4E18 Craig's in a Huff at Missing Free Pies

    09/12/2014 Duración: 46min

Alloa knocked Rangers out of the Potty Training Cup, and with fans of the finalists getting free pies it's all too much for Craig to take. Meanwhile, Greig is camping it up leaving Krys and John to do the podcast alone. The charity bet was another bust, so we go for an even bigger one this week to make up for it. There's financial goings on at Motherwell and Livingston, early transfer speculation and even some actual football discussed. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. sffpodcast On Twitterhttp://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/

  • S4E17 Moan, Moan, Moan

    02/12/2014 Duración: 51min

It’s a positive podcast this week as Krys and Greig moan about anything and everything. They even moan about my lack of agenda. Celtic in Europe (thanks to Krys for reminding me that it happened), Scottish Cup fitba (including Motherwell being put out of yet another cup) and cheese. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. The podcast is available via RSS, iTunes, or you can listen using the widget below. • S4E16 Broadcasting Live to Mansfield!

    25/11/2014 Duración: 44min

Craig, Krys and Greig pick over the bones of the Scotland England game, look back on the weekends Championship decider and preview the upcoming Scottish Cup matches. Krys oversteps the mark with his anti Rangers rant and incurs the wrath of the man. The King of Gamblers previews what might be the best value charity bet of the season so far. Unfortunately we had technical difficulties which resulted in us missing out the start of the Hearts vs Rangers discussion. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. • S4E14 It's All About Laurie

    11/11/2014 Duración: 01h08min

Laurie returns to the podcast and tells us all about his Hearts commentary gig, as well as giving us a history lesson on how Hitler checked Teletext for live score updates during the Edinburgh Derby. It’s Scotland vs Ireland on Friday, in what might be a make or break game. We discuss the latest call ups, how the game might go, as well other games in the group. As it’s the international break, the charity bet focuses on the Championship, League One and League Two. It’s basically an hour of four guys talking about fitba. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. The podcast is available via RSS, iTunes, or you can listen using the widget below. • S4E13 The Halloween Spooktacular

    04/11/2014 Duración: 01h04min

Greig gives us his reaction to Stuart McCall’s resignation from Motherwell and who might replace him. I tip off a journalist about a couple of contenders. Following the quarter final ties, the League Cup semi final draw was made and both ties are exciting/nervy/scary. The Scottish Cup draw was made for the fourth round of the competition, but it didn’t bring out too many exciting ties (not compared to the league cup). Greig is as confident as ever for his side. The charity bet comes up trumps. One member of the team tries to claim the glory, although as Greig says, we are a team. John reads out the entries in the halloween competition. Listen out for him reading out the Alloa entry. Thanks to John and his mrs for the competition and thanks to those who entered. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. • S4E12 @sffpodcast

    28/10/2014 Duración: 57min

Krys, Greig and John let us down on the charity bet. 0 out 3. The @sffpodcast Twitter account is launched and John (or should I say, Mrs John) has an idea for a competition. Mike Ashley’s involvement in Rangers is hot news over the last few days, so we discuss what that might mean for the club. We also look ahead to the League Cup, Scottish Cup and the weekend’s Premiership games. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. sfootballforums On Twitter http://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/

  • S4E11 Coolest UK Podcast

    20/10/2014 Duración: 47min

Craig has Ebola or something so Krys is hosting officially one of the coolest UK podcasts once again. He is joined by John and Greig who both get to moan about their respective teams' defences. There's good news in the charity bet, Scotland in Poland, and an SPFL and WWE roundup all get discussed before moving on to the apparent importance of Potty Training. Then finally a look forward to the coming weekend's action as John and Greig's teams square off in some Friday night action. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. sfootballforums On Twitterhttp://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/

  • S4E10 Scotland Humps Georgia 1-0

    13/10/2014 Duración: 50min

Krys and I start by discussing Scotland humping Georgia 1-0, and all the positives that came from that. We face Poland tomorrow night, which is ever more important after they beat Germany. The charity bet lost, surprise surprise, but we try again with a simple double. Neil Lennon recently signed on as Bolton manager, so we discuss whether we think it was the right move for him and his team. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. sfootballforums On Twitter http://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/

  • S4E9B Goodwillie, Cheesy Pies and Butt Bans

    06/10/2014 Duración: 01h06min

It’s the dream team this week – me, Krys, Greig and John. Celtic’s defeat against Hamilton brings up a discussion on Deila’s time at Celtic so far and whether players/clubs are professional enough in Scotland. We also discuss how we feel our clubs are doing so far this season. Well, Krys and Greig do, John and I make do with a score out of ten. I qualify my rating out of ten in case there was any confusion. Scotland vs Georgia is coming up next week and we are all confident of a result, as well as being confident of leaking a goal or two. Except John, who is confident of keeping a clean sheet. The charity bet came in for a second time this season, and we stick with the winning man, Osman Sow as our first scorer. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.
