Welcome to the first episode of the Revival Club! Every few months, members of the community nominate, vote on, and play a game to discuss in Discord! We will wrap up each game with a short podcast where we will have a chance to respond to questions or thoughts shared by the community! In our first episode, Nick and Brad talk about the legacy of Devil May Cry 3 and how it continues to age in a post-Devil May Cry 5 world!

In addition to pondering the meaning of life and the insignificance of our very existence, we give our initial impressions of several big new games. Nick talks Greedfall, a new "Eurojank" RPG, and Brad finally dug into the new Platinum Games title, Astral Chain. Brad returns to Monster Hunter World for the Iceborne expansion and Nolan goes WAY back with Final Fantasy 8 Remastered. Of course... Nintendo is finally getting back into the Fitness market with Ring Fit Adventure on the Switch.

What a week! Nick somehow found the time to play a ton of Control, start Man of Medan, AND finish Blair Witch! Speaking of Blair Witch, this new game comes highly recommended from Nick's corner. Nolan refunded a game on Steam (What could it be???) but is having a great time revisiting Final Fantasy 8 thanks to the new remaster. We ponder the implications of a big loss for Tango Gameworks and Brad gives the rundown of the week's jam packed Nintendo Direct!

This week's episode is jam packed with bad (Nolan) jokes, big news, and exciting new games! Nick and Krispy discuss the beautiful and bizarre world of Control, the latest game from the minds behind Max Payne and Alan Wake. Nolan shares his impressions of Telling Lies, this year's spiritual follow-up to Her Story. Chris Davis shares his initial impressions of Remnant: From the Ashes, a new original IP from Gunfire games.

Ed makes his triumphant and welcome return to the show and brings with him, tales of all the games he's been catching up on during his time away! We take a look at Ion Fury, Krispy shares his take on No Mans Sky Beyond in VR, and Brad gushes over the latest and greatest Final Fantasy Tactics clone (unfortunately) called Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark. We react to the newly released Avengers and Death Stranding footage and talk about the bits of news coming out of Gamescom over the past few days. We also squeeze in some good poop stories and talk about the shocking announcement of a new Matrix movie! 

This episode is full minor inconveniences. Nick learns some unfortunate truths about Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and the community at large challenges the group to show them their devious side. Brad talks about Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, Chris Davis brings impressions of Secret Neighbor, and Nolan gives his final impressions of Dragon Quest Builders 2 now that the credits have rolled! The news is also packed with some... interesting developments involving Bully 2, Rockstar, and THQ Nordic!

We dive deep into the nitty gritty of Fire Emblem: Three Houses this week to explain why it is a game that should be on any RPG fan's radar. Nick talks about how Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines finally sunk it's fangs in and makes Chris Davis a happy man by finally getting serious about playing Ace Combat 7! Nolan, Krispy, and Brad all talk about their Dragon Quest Builders 2 addiction. 

We give our initial impressions of the first full trailer of the Witcher series which is set to debut on Netflix later this year. Krispy brings impressions of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 but admits that his gaming life has been dominated by Dragon Quest Builders 2 as of late. Nick shares his final thoughts on Outer Wilds (which is excellent) and at the request of our beloved patrons, the crew lays down hypothetical laws for their new, hypothetical island society. 

With a little more than half 2019 in our rear view mirror, it's time to think about which games have really stolen the show so far with our individual Top 5 lists. We also talk about our first impressions of Dragon Quest Builders 2, CATS the movie, and Nick finally caved to the pressure and played Max Payne; the game that put Remedy on the map.

It's been a few weeks but the band is back together again and there is plenty to talk about! The group gives their impressions of Super Mario Maker 2 following our recent community night and explains why Judgement is 1.) worth you time and 2.) why it is more than just another Yakuza game. The group revisits Outer Wilds and Bloodstained as well before debating the relevance of Nintendo's newly announced Switch Lite.

In a surprise twist this week, Nick and Brad are joined by 4Player alumni, David Liao, to talk about video games, e3, and nipple tape. It might be misleading to mention that Nobunaga himself, Travis Granger, is a guest but he does makes a brief appearance and truly makes this episode feel like a stroll down Memory lane (for about 1 minute). We talk Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Outer Wilds, and more! 

E3 2019 is old news and we are back in the studio and ready to talk about video games that are out in the wild NOW! Nolan finally got his grubby little hands on Cadence of Hyrule and as expected, it is delightful! What IS surprising however is that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is finally out and has somehow managed to surpass our (admittedly low) expectations! Brad is quite taken by the game and his inner Castlevania geekness is on full display. Nick revisits Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and we talk about the design inspiration behind two BIG upcoming titles.

E3 may be over but there is still plenty to discuss considering our final day was spent in meetings seeing big games like Cyberpunk 2077, Dying Light 2, Pokemon Sword/Shield, and more! Krispy and Ed join the LA team to discuss the last few games of the show plus our thoughts on the current state of the big show in 2019.

On our 2nd full day of E3 2019, we attended some exciting appointments and got some hands-on time with some BIG games! Perhaps most importantly, we got to sink our teeth into the 'Final Fantasy 7 Remake' demo which managed to squash any remaining doubt we may have had. We also played a significant demo of Remedy's new game, 'Control' and Nick played an fun match in 'Bleeding Edge!' With that said, some of the biggest surprises of the day came in the form of 'Journey to the Savage Planet' and 'Wolfenstein Youngblood.'

Our first day on the show floor of E3 2019 is at an end and we have so much ground to cover. We of course cover our reactions to the Ubisoft, Square-Enix, and Nintendo Press Conferences which featured some juicy announcement and reveals. Watch Dogs Legion is finally revealed and we talk about all of big news surrounding the unveiling of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake! From our time on the show floor, we cover our impressions of some E3 underdogs like Biomutant, Code Vein, Outer Worlds, and more!

E3 2019 is upon us and the first day of press conferences is over. Microsoft and Bethesda both showed up with some pleasant surprises which were simultaneously overshadowed by the things that were missing and the relentless wave of marketing speak that left us scratching our heads. The day was telling to be sure but it featured some truly surprising cameos and some a few super exciting new IPs that have our undivided attention. We also cover the latest episode in the ongoing Devolver Digital "Press Conference" saga...

It is the week before E3 and with two weeks since our last show, we are absolutely bursting at the seams with exciting game industry news! Everything from the big Death Stranding reveal to the Watch Dogs Legion leak to the surprise announcement of Baldurs Gate 3! Strangely enough, on top of all that, we all ended up playing games set in SPAAAACE! They may all share a common thread but Observation, Void Bastards, and Outer Wilds all offer wildly different experiences.

There's a lot to unpack this week thanks to new releases on opposite ends of the development spectrum. While RAGE 2 hasn't hooked us yet, the game shows promise thanks to fun combat and the usual open world hooks. On the other end of the spectrum, Druidstone, the next game from the talent behind The Legend of Grimrock, manages to do a lot with a smaller budget. Nick goes to bat for Days Gone now that he's spent a lot more time with it and the group addresses some juicy news involving From Software and George R. R. Martin.

Where to begin. We talk in depth about two new games that couldn't possibly be more different: A Plague Tale: Innocence has you avoiding The Inquisition and hordes of flesh eating rats in the Middle Ages while Hypnospace Outlaw simulates the 90's internet experience by tasking you with modifying content on the ugliest websites imaginable. In the wake of Detective Pikachu, Krispy was inspired to bust out Pokemon Let's Go and as we close in on E3, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake emerged from the shadows...
