Say HiIt has come to that period of the year that we all as a congregation deliberately look up toGod, waiting upon Him in fasting and prayer, leading us into the week of congregationalrevival and afterward, annual thanksgiving service. It has become an annual tradition in IBC,and we thank God for this godly heritage. But we must take caution so that we don’t get lostin the euphoria and activities, going through the motions without maximising the spiritualbenefits this season has to offer. The benefit of having the Holy Spirit in your life as a believer far outweighs not having Him. Say HiThe subject of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit was one of those under dispute in several denominations in the 1970s and early 1980s. Many churches were able to resolve this Pneumatological challenge by returning to the scripture. This resolution led to ta great revival, particularly in our denomination and the body of Christ in Nigeria.The Baptism of the Holy Spirit has to do with the infilling of the Holy Spirit. it is often described as a second experience after salvation. Speaking in other Tongues is the principal evidence of being baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Wewere expected to trust God for the power of the Holy Spirit for our living and not relyon our own power or might. Zech. 4:6Most part of the year has been spent on teachings and preachings about the variousmeans by which the Supernatural Power of the Almighty God can be exhibited.Thank God for what He has done already in each of our lives by His Supernaturalpower in the first nine months and what He will yet do in the remaining part of thisyear.We shall deliberately be studying about the Holy Spirit this month as we round upwith the theme for this year. It is our prayer that the Lord will further open our eyesof understanding and give each one of us a unique, personal and glorious encounterduring and after this series in Jesus Name.
