Feathers and Foes is a Birds of Prey podcast dedicated to the DC comic book, Birds of Prey. We will go on the journey of reading and analyzing the book from its first start in 1996 all the way till the last issue. Hopefully, the book will come back.

    This is the final installment of this Fourth World adventure, featuring the Birds with assists from Catwoman and Power Girl.  Will the Black Canary, Catwoman, and the U.S. Marshals be able to get back to Earth?  Who will win the battle between the fury of Lashina and her ribbons vs. Catwoman and the whip?     Welcome to Feather and Foes.  Ligia, Mark, and Ashford are cover issue 8 volume 1 of Birds of Prey.  Despite the cover date, this book came out in store on June 2, 1999.  We are really excited because we have an appearance from the first Boy Wonder, Dick Greyson, who is now NIGHTWING.  Join us as we discuss the history, the magic, the chemistry between Batman's first student, and Barbara Gordon, the first Batgirl. Stick around as Ashford and Mark discuss the television series Birds of Prey back in 2002. In this episode, we are covering issue 1 proper of Birds of Prey.  The story is called Long Time Gone written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Greg Land, and inked by Drew Geraci.  Black Canary and Oracle are in top form.   Please don't forget to listen to our segment about the Birds of Prey television show from the WB television series back in 2002.

    Ligia and Ashford are back to discuss the Birds of Prey Issue: Batgirl, a story of Batgirl and Black Canary.  What?  You must see how writer Chuck Dixon brings all of this together.  And the rogue's gallery is really in this one, ranging from the Mad Hatter to the Joker.  Released in 1998, the Birds are swinging towards 1999 with a bang! In addition to this issue Ashford and new Co-Host Mark discuss the pilot episode of the WB Network's show, Birds of Prey from 2002.  Ashford and Mark will discuss this show each issue until the end of its series.  In this episode we get an appearance from Aaron Paul.  No, there is no meth involved, but with some of the meta human abilities of Huntress, perhaps you might feel like you're on that Chrystal.

    Ligia and Ashford cover the 3rd issue of the Man Hunt Saga, "The Man That Got Away". Black Canary is kidnapped by Braun, a dude that crushed Huntress's heart, and did the Black Canary wrong.  The Huntress and Catwoman are teaming up to save the Black Canary and bring Braun to justice. The scenery changes as Braun takes the Black Canary to Katchick 9-9, a forgotten city in Kazakastan.     

  • Episode 4: Girl Crazy (Man Hunt Saga)

    The Birds are on the chase for Braun, a jerk who wronged Catwoman, Huntress, and the Black Canary...perhaps in that order.  The Black Canary gets separated from Huntress and Catwoman, which makes things tough for Oracle, who is back in Gotham.  Join Ashford and Ligia as they discussed this romp of an adventure.  DC Comics presents: Birds of Prey.
