We're living in a strange time but that's not stopping us from getting on microphones and being ridiculous and we do just that with The Quarantine Sessions Vol1! We are having to practice social distancing but thanks to the magic of Skype, we're getting together virtually and answering your pre-submitted questions. We get into some cool behind-the-scenes KISStory this week with our Conversation with Vincent DiGerlando! Vincent worked for Howard Marks Advertising for 14 year and, by proxy, KISS. Meeting the band in 1974, he would go on to design the iconic KISS Army logo! Additionally, Vincent had a major hand in several landmark KISS albums and products including the album covers for Double Platinum, the 78 solo albums, Unmasked, and Creatures of the Night. In this conversation, Vincent shares many interesting stories of working with the KISS team behind the scenes, the differences in design and printing compared to today, as well as his thoughts in hindsight of working with such a legendary band. We're back this week to focus on all the news in the rock and metal world with New Noize 9! There's a lot of bleak news outside of the music world these days so we hope to provide a brief escape from it all in this episode. Starting things off, we give our in-depth review of the latest Ozzy Osbourne offering 'Ordinary Man'. Did we love it? Did we hate it? Do we disagree with each other? You'll have to listen to find out. Additionally, we discuss some of the latest developments between the Donnie Vie and Enuff Z'nuff camps. A lot has been put forth publicly by the former singer of our favorite pop rock band and we have our thoughts on the whol situation. Other topics discussed include Twisted Sister becoming licensing kings, updates on the Mick Mars solo album, Riot's singer trying out on The Voice (yes, we're serious), and a Nu-Metal tour that nobody asked for. We're blessed to be joined by Tommy Skeoch this week as he reflects on the Tesla classic 'Psychotic Supper.' Coming on the heels of the successful 'Five Man Acoustical Jam' album, Tesla hit the studio in New York playing with house money. The recent success afforded them free reign to create an album devoid of record company pressure. The band went to work with producers Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero. The resulting album is a sonic platter of greatness. Psychotic Supper sounds as fresh today as it did in 1991. Boasting five successful singles including What You Give, Edison's Medicine, Song and Emotion, and Call It What You Want, Psychotic Supper achieved platinum status.  In this long-form discussion, Tommy Skeoch shares his memories of the making of this great album. Reaction videos seem to be a big trend these days but, in this case, we're reacting to the printed word. The Rock Mag series has us flipping through the pages of an old school rock magazine and reacting to it. Did these articles age well? Do we agree with the takes given? Are these letters to the editor actually legit? We go through it all, crack wise, and share our opinions of their opinions! This week Toby Wright joins us for an in-depth discussion on the making of the Alice in Chains classic 'Jar of Flies.' Released on January 25, 1994, through Columbia Records, it is the first EP in music history to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, with the first week sales exceeding 141,000 copies in the United States. Recorded over the course of a week at the London Bridge Studio in Seattle, it was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 1995; Best Recording Package and Best Hard Rock Performance for "I Stay Away". It has been certified triple-platinum by the RIAA, selling 4 million copies worldwide. This week we dive into a time of great change as we pick our Top 5 80's Aerosmith Songs! To describe the decade of the 80's when it comes to the bad boys from Boston is tough. Perhaps, it's best to lean on the reverse of an old analogy of 'in like a lamb, out like a lion.' Although hugely successful in the early to mid 70's, Aerosmith entered the 80's with a thud. The decade-closing 'Night in the Ruts' did little to gain chart position and resulted in Joe Perry's exit from the group.
