US President Joe Biden has promised Israel "ironclad" support amid fears that Teheran will respond to the last week's attack on the Iranian embassy compound in Damascus. Sunday marks 6 months of the Gaza war. More than 1,200 people , mainly civilians, were killed on October 7th.  600 soldiers have been killed in the fighting , along with some 23,000 residents of Gaza.  More than 100,000 Israelis have been forced to flee their homes from the Gaza periphery and along the northern border.
