  Today is the last day to register for a mail-in ballot to vote in primary elections across the state. State Elections Director Ryan Cowley joins the show to talk all things elections and how you can more conveniently perform your civic duty of voting for elected officials. 

  Last night, the Salt Lake City area reached a record high low temperature of 78 degrees. KSL 5 TV's Matt Johnson breaks down what effect it can have when it doesn't cool down enough in the evenings. The hosts also discuss how warm overnight temperatures can affect a person's sleep. 

  The U.S. Supreme Court has made several large decisions lately that effect Utah and the U.S. public. Host of KSL at Night, and KSL Legal Analyst, answers Taylor's questions about the legality of bump stocks, mifepristone, and other decisions in front of the highest court of the land. 

  Utah had a great snow year which is great for our desert climate. But unexpectedly high temperatures this Spring has led to large runoff in local rivers. Spencer Cannon, Sergeant with Utah County Sheriff's Office, joins Taylor and Greg to remind listeners about the precautions they should be taking when recreating near rivers and streams. 

  The National Retail Federation says they expect people to spend significantly less on Father’s day than was spent on Mother's day. How much do you spend on Father's Day gifts? Do you spend more for Mother's Day or Father's Day? Americans on average will spend $189 on Dad this year. Greg and Taylor discuss and take listener calls. 

  Guest hosts Greg Skordas and Taylor Morgan are joined by KSL 5 TV's Lindsey Aerts who reported on rumors that Brad Wilson could be winding down his primary campaign for US Senate. 

  Candidates for Congressional District 3 were united on many issues in last night's debate. However, one candidate, current State Auditor John "Frugal" Dougall, separated from the group with his stance on former President Donald Trump. Dave and Debbie ask what effect he hopes his stance will have on this race and the Republican party at large. 

  An unexpected rallying point during the Cd3 debate was unanimous nuclear power support from all of the candidates. Dave and Debbie get into the bigger discussion of nuclear power and if there is concern with moving in that direction, followed by listener calls.  

  Host of Inside Sources, Boyd Matheson joins the show to discuss Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to the middle east yesterday, his 9th total visit to this region as part of the Biden administration. What is the U.S hoping to achieve with these visits? Are we seeing meaningful progress on our goals in the Middle East?  

  Where is the best place to put a new sports stadium? Right in the middle of downtown? Public voices were heard last night during a planning commission meeting about thoughts on the proposed development for the delta center. Additionally, Opinion Editor for Desert News, Jay Evenson, joins D2 to talk about sports betting and how it could change professional sports in the long run. 

  Rivers and creeks throughout our state are channeling snowmelt from the surrounding mountains, which increases the volume and speed of most waterways. Of particular concern is the Provo River, which is currently running ten times faster than usual levels.  The Provo Police Department has issued a warning to use caution near the river for the next month due to the high levels and speed. Dave and Debbie speak with Travis Hancock, Ranger with the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation.  

  The Supreme Court has rejected a challenge to the F-D-A's approval of a drug used in medication abortions. Dave and Debbie speak with KSL Legal Analyst Greg Skordas about the significance of this development.

Steve Klauke, 69-years-old, well known in Utah as the longtime voice of the Salt Lake Bees. Steve passed away over the weekend after being struck by a vehicle while out on an evening walk. He spent 29 years broadcasting 4181 Bees games... and won the Utah broadcaster of the year award in 1995, 2015, and 2016. Klauke retired just this past season, and Dave and Debbie are joined by KSL 5 TV's Alex Cabrero about what is known about the accident that took his life and the impact the passing of this Utah sports legend will have on his family and Utah sports fans everywhere.

You don't have to be the son of the president to be impacted by addiction. Addiction took center stage through the process of Hunter Biden's gun trial and the stories are something that are unfortunately very relatable for many families. Hunter Biden was found guilty on 3 felony counts. Two of the three charges were for Biden lying about drug use on a federal background check form, the other was for possessing a gun while addicted to an illegal drug. What came to light during most of this trial was Hunter Biden's struggle with addiction and the impact it had on members of his family. Dave and Debbie discuss.

At issue, was a debate about a sweeping ban on apartments, duplexes across Box Elder County. Debbie shares more about the comments made by Box Elder Planning Commissioner and now republican Commission Candidate, Steve Zollinger. Senate Minority Leader Luz Escamilla joins the conversation to share her reaction and discusses if lawmakers can do anything to force the county's hand to retract this building ban. Then, Dave and Debbie hear from Box Elder County Planning Commissioner, Republican Candidate for Box Elder County Commission Steve Zollinger, who speaks to the comments he made about Mexicans and Koreans. Olympic excitement to bring the 2034 Games to Utah is spilling over. A recent survey from Deseret News and the Hinckley Institute of Politics shows 79% of Utahns are behind the state hosting the 2034 Winter Games. International Olympic Committee leaders decided to advance Utah’s bid to a final vote by the full IOC membership in July. D2 hears from callers about whether they're part of the almost 80% that want the games back, or whether they're part of the 20% that don't.

For the Smith Entertainment Group, this project is about pumping life into downtown. The head of the remodel project, Mike Maughan, an executive with the Smith Entertainment Group, says they could put the development anywhere, but they're focused on SLC. KSL NewsRadio's Adam Small brings us the latest. Last night, there were lots of discussion in a SLC council meeting about what a new downtown would look like.
