Emotional Eating. What's Emotional eating anyways? By Definition: Emotional eating includes eating in response to any emotion, whether that be positive or negative. Most frequently, people refer to emotional eating as "eating to cope with negative emotions." As we can see, we are all emotional eaters, and we eat for pleasure, for nourishment, when we are stressed, when we are happy or sad, and that's is completely fine. Emotional Eating has different spectrums and you might encounter yourself in one or another time-to-time. The only time that can become harmful for your mental and physical health is when emotional eating is used as a form of numbing or avoiding our feelings.
