My Life My Choice

When people speak of sacrifices that they have made in their lives for others, they are speaking in terms of what they have given up.  What they have done and what has happened to them as a result of this sacrifice. “I did this all for you so that you could have the experience that you wanted.”  The word sacrifice literally means to give something up or permit something to happen in order for someone to achieve a desired goal. Be under no illusion, no matter how heart wrenching, how disappointing, no matter how painful or soul destroying the sacrifice made, it was a choice.  It was a choice driven by a personal agenda that sacrificer had. They wanted a specific outcome and by giving up or doing _______ you fill in the blank, even when it was counterintuitive, they had their beady little eye on a prize.
