  • Bonus Episode: Controlling an Active Alcoholic

    11/11/2021 Duración: 28min

No human power got me sober. I had to get to a place of complete desperation. The progression of my disease was a slow one. I stopped and started constantly. I tried so many different ways to control my drinking on my own. I tried to read things or watch documentaries that would co-sign my wish that I did not have a problem. I would seek out others who drank more than me so that I could find relief that I wasn't an alcoholic. None of that changed my relationship with alcohol and my ability to control it. No human power could save me. At the end of my drinking career I had to believe that I had a problem...but how could I live or live with out drinking alcohol?  --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sobergratitudes/message
