BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX ON TUESDAYS -- Just in time for the S4 premiere, we're covering Greg & Larry. Aarthi and Carl talk about how the finale stacks up against the episode previous, its position as the ending to the arc, and just who IS Rosa Diaz anyway? There's segues about The Mindy Project, Central Intelligence (the Hart-Johnson comedy from summer 2016), and POPSTAR, and maybe some blather about What Is An Apatow Film Anyway? We speculate on how the Jake/Amy relationship will be handled (we recorded this before the 4x01 press release came out, so bear with us) and wonder if this could be how the show rolls Jason Mantzoukas in as a full-time cast member. BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX ON TUESDAYS -- We are FINALLY back with our last catchup episode. We talk about Paranoia, Maximum Security, and Bureau. Carl and Aarthi discuss heistfulness, Jake and Amy's relationship progression (and a retread of an older conversation about Jim and Pam and Jake and Amy and Leslie and Ben) and how time and distance will/are going to impact it. We also talk about the excellence that is Jason Mantzoukas, the OINTB-ness of it all, Melissa's real and Amy's fake pregnancy, and most importantly, continue to lament the tanking of Gina/Boyle as a viable ship. Also, Aarthi talks about her then-single, now twice appearance on @HDTGM and Carl offers for listeners to "fight me" as he usually does.

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS TUESDAYS ON FOX -- Your favorite hosts decide that a better way to talk about this string of episodes is to basically focus entirely on Adrian Pimento. Aarthi may or may not objectify Jason Mantzoukas along with Jake, Carl and Aarthi talk about Pimento being the Darkest Timeline version of Jake, and pretty much every other plotline and character is ignore. Just kidding, we talk about how Pimento interacts with just about every character during his arc, and how his addition to the team would be terribly welcome. Plus, Aarthi brags about kind-of-sort-of meeting JMantz a time or two.

Neither of your hosts pretend to like anything about Hostage Situation, and Nine Days was largely glossed over in our efforts to get to The Cruise, which we really enjoyed. BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX ON SUNDAYS AT 8:30PM ET/PT -- We took a long hiatus that ended up getting extended for a host of reasons, but the short version is: WE ARE BACK, baby! Carl and Aarthi catch up on various real life occurrences, then get down and dirty with Ava, The Swedes, and Yippee Kayak. The usual banter, back-and-forth, and regular charm is on full display as your favorite cohosts puzzle out their feelings about the new Jeffords child, the introduction of weirdly racist-against-Danes Swedish detectives (who are definitely banging), and the true perfection of Yippee Kayak. And, as always, there's wrestling, books, and internet culture jokes. It's a wild ride, overlong, and overdue.

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX ON SUNDAYS AT 8:30PM ET/PT -- This week, we open with a ten-minute discussion of what the future of BITF looks like given our recent run of delayed or skipped episodes, various other troubles, and personal changes in our lives. After that (and our jazzy intro) we get into the episode, talking briefly about the B and C plots (and mourning the sinking of Gina/Boyle) while appreciating a lot of things about this episode's structure. Around 34:15 we switch to the A-plot and our feelings about it. Aarthi starts out rather negative, but Carl presents a reasoned, alternate viewpoint that seems to better fit the narrative arc the show is going for. We're curious what our listeners think, both about our decisions regarding BITF's future as well as about our speculation about the latter half of the season. Plus: we reference the Godfather once or twice, so you know it's a great podcast.

Amy gets her rightful role in the Nine-Nine at last, while Gina and Boyle continue to dance around them being each others' endgame. Also, Rosa was cool. Your hosts dig into Boyle's messed-up relationship dynamics, taste in men (spoiler alert: it's Jake), and the forthcoming inevitable end of his relationship with Genevieve. BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX AT 8:30ET -- This week, your favorite sitcom podcasters cover fat-shaming and its place both within the show as well as the creative family, badass boss ladies bedeviling bird-monikered boys, and possibly the strongest A-plot we've seen in a year. Black male physicality, femslash undertones, and found family feelings are all over this podcast. Plus: Aarthi forgets about not only a fight between her OTP but also their new ship name ("Portners") while Carl insists we take a YouTube break at the end of the episode. Don't worry: they come back.

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX AT 8:30ET -- We're talking about Boyle's latest doomed relationship and the viability of Boyle's romantic paradigms (spoiler alert: outlook's not good) all while Jake keeps yes-anding him, which makes Aarthi wonder if the Actual Ship of the show is Boyle and Jake, and their FRIENDship. Meanwhile, the C plot is roundly panned as being weaksauce and meaningless in the face of a potentially-heavy B-plot about the NYPD responding to last year's (and, frankly, ongoing) conversations around police brutality and abuse of power. We then spend literally the last ten minutes talking about Jake as an Artist, hipster gear and all. It's a wild ride, and we're glad you're here for it!

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX AT 8:30ET -- Late to the party but still pretty, Carl and Aarthi talk about parallels between this episode and The Boyle-Linetti Wedding, from S2. Your hosts seem undecided about the episode overall, but a strong B and C plot keeps the episode going even when there are missteps along the way. In a rare example, Carl and Aarthi fundamentally disagree on a discussion point, and we catch ourselves armchair story-editing along the way. BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX AT 8:30ET ON SUNDAYS -- We're talking about the Season Two finale, with our special guest Marisa Roffman, from GiveMeMyRemote.com! It's an extra-long episode and we go deep into the episode, starting with Boyle and Rosa and their beautiful, precious friendship dynamic that we've missed. We take a long segue into the weirdness of Holt and Wuntch, and how inappropriate their encounters are. We discuss the death (or currently-dying state) of audience patience with a will-they-won't-they storyline, which takes us into a long section about Jake and Amy and their plotline and the kissing. We finish out by talking about Andre Braugher's excellent speech (choice quote: "Meep, morp, zeep, SOBBING.") BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX AT 8:30ET -- It's a shortie! We're zooming through the B-plot to focus on the A-plot and its excellent dynamics. And then we just devolve into chat and speculation about the spoilers. Note that this was recorded on 12 May, meaning any spoilers that came out after that are not accounted for! BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX AT 8:30ET -- Jake goes, once more, into the breach. Aarthi and Carl tackle the B-plot mostly half-heartedly in an effort to do the hard work before getting to the good stuff. We talk shipping, Amy's assertiveness arc, Jake's tells, what we'd like to see from Amy in the run-up to the finale, some shoutouts to the writers of the episode, some questions about who the REAL love of Jake's life is (it's definitely Boyle), and even a little spec on some finale spoilers. It's gonna be a sweet 50 minutes, y'all.

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX AT 8:30ET -- Jake gets injured, Gina is nice to Amy, and Boyle loves Atlantic City. It's extra fun this week because we have a guest: comedian Katey Healy-Wurzburg and friend of the show. The conversations wanders a bit (we take some tangents to talk about The Rock, pro wrestling, the Fast and Furious franchise, there's an aside or two about Psych, and we talk about Baltimore as well) but it comes circling back at the end as we ask the important questions, riff on humorous topics, and bring a great conversation to your earbuds. BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX AT 8:30ET -- No new episode of b99 happened the week this aired, but Aarthi and Carl are back with a podcast dedicated to all the fun things you missed while on hiatus. Mostly, Aarthi talks about some adventures she had: she got to ask Chelsea Peretti a question on a live video stream, and then she got to meet a Brooklyn Nine-Nine writer in person. This episode is definitely an Aarthi-heavy one, but there's a ton of great info about the writing process for the show based on a talk she attended. All this and a Keith Haring sweater on this week's BITF!

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AIRS ON FOX AT 8:30ET -- We can't stand it, we know TPTB planned it, we're gonna set it straight, this watergate...and also this copyright infringement. Carl and Aarthi talk about Jake's insistence that, "Oh my gah, it's a mirage," and he's tellin' y'all it's sabotaaaaaage. Okay, okay, jokes (and ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY song parodies) aside, Carl and Aarthi spend a big chunk of this episode dissecting the A-plot. Neither Aarthi nor Carl loved this episode, and their dissatisfaction and disenchantment shows. However, possibly *because* they're so down on the primary plotline, the B and C plots get not only less discussion time but also less negativity. They end with a little speculation on the future, with minimal spoilers because there simply AREN'T any to go around, and announce a hiatus until Easter. So listen up, 'cause you can't say nothin'.... It's SABOTAAAAAAGE.

Aarthi and Carl chat about the riddle and its solution for a while, with healthy detours into conversation about 30 Rock, Friends, Iron Man, The Hobbit, and our usual requisite Jupiter Ascending shoutout.
