Sinopsis

A fortnightly book podcast from your fave (aspiring) literary duo. She's Anna, he's Simon. We are both languages students and liberal literature lovers who mainly read literary fiction and classics. We do read a bit of everything though, and we both read quite widely. We're at our most pretentious when we read books in French or German, but we do that less than we probably should...

Episodios

  • Episode 3: 2015 Review

    14/01/2016 Duración: 49min

In the third (and admittedly very late) episode we're giving our review of 2015. We'll rattle through the best books we've read this year, from novels and poetry all the way to non-fiction. We'll also give you a taster of what to expect from 2016...

  • Comfort Reading

    14/12/2015 Duración: 35min

In the second episode we're discussing comfort reading. As the nights draw in and the house gets chillier it's nice to curl up with a comforting classic and a cuppa. Having said this, the very topic of comfort reading is a bit controversial with Anna (as ever) and the conversation may just veer off into comforting TV and films... either way, enjoy!

  • A Little Introduction

    29/11/2015 Duración: 40min

In this first episode we introduce ourselves and talk a bit about what we like to read, before launching into a discussion of three books that we've been reading lately. Most of the discussion is about A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, but we'll touch on some poetry and a Japanese short story too. Enjoy!
