Ari in Philadelphia and Gerry in Piscataway join in with Dave for our final MLB spot of the series, for the forseeable future. We'll get into some improvements with the MLB uniforms, the swan song season for ESPN until they end their partnership with baseball next year, plus what's to come for the two World Series teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees. All this plus much more from MLB as we look ahead, plus look back on all the years covering baseball on the podcast. Ari, Gerry, and Dave had some good times chatting about All Star Games, Postseason Games, first-guessed releiver decisions, and much more.  Plus, a cameo from Ari's son Jacob as he breaks down some of the numbers behind key players and muses on the woeful White Sox, among other topics.

As the farewell tour continues, Dave and Junkie reunite one last time to take on the chat's questions and the rest of the world. We look back on all the fun, charming moments of doing Random Questions segments together, a recurring segment that goes back to 2011. Plus we look at what's new : Junkie's family life, Dave's metamorphosis into a musician, and obviously many other twists and turns neither of the two will see coming via their tangents.

Dave announces the "Farwell, for now" podcast tour as the long run of DITCOW/Sandwich Corner begins its journey until the Finale in Early April. Joining in are our golf panelists, John in CT, Mike in North Jersey, and Andy in Seattle. No real topic tonight, but we'll have some golf, football, and basketball talk among other things.

John in CT joins Dave once again for part 2 of our 2024 College Football Preview.  This time out we'll cover coaches on the hot seat, then preview the Group of Five conferences: Mountain West, Sun Belt, MAC, AAC, and Conference USA. There could be some battles between Appalachian State and Texas State for Sun Belt, while Fresno State, UNLV, and others fight it out for the Mountain West title. In Conference USA, Liberty is not just a favorite to win, but potentially a favorite to make the playoff out of the Go5. There's also some changing of the guard afoot in the MAC, known America's favorite Tuesday night pastime. Later we'll make predictions for each of the conferences, both Power Conferences and Go5 conference, and offer any other predictions for the season.

John in CT joins Dave to break down the Power Teams in FBS Football, plus our season storylines for 2024.   Bama enters a new era after Nick Saban retires, Georgia tries to bounce back after their unexpected early exit with a really exciting new quarterback, the Pac 12 folds and gets poached by the Big Ten, Big 12, and ACC, and Texas and Oklahoma start their first season in the SEC. In addition, we have the first ever 12 team playoff on the horizon.  We'll look ahead to how the new format will work and which teams could really take advantage of the bigger field.

John in CT is back to recap the Open Championship won by Xander Schauffele at Royal Troon Golf Club.   We'll also look at some of the other players from the tournament which had many twists and turns. Later, we'll segue to the Olympic Games, where the crew will preview this Olympiad's Golf Tournament in Paris, France.  There will be a lot of heavy hitters in this tournament including Xander Schauffele, Scottie Scheffler who's had some struggles of late, Jon Rahm, Shane Lowry, Collin Morikawa, Tommy Fleetwood, and many more.

Our good friend Parcells joins us to recap what have been really exciting international soccer competitions in both Europe and the U.S. First, we'll recap a thrilling, spectacular Euro 2024 tournament that was exciting until the very end with a great England/Spain final where the Spaniards went ahead in the final minutes.  Next, we'll recap the more infamous Copa America back in the U.S. where the event was tarnished by terrible fields, poor security, awful performances by the USMNT and Mexico, and more, but still full of great storylines like Canada's Cinderella run to the Semifinals, Lionel Messi's presumed final game with Argentina that ended in a Copa championship, and more. We can also take a few moments to chat about what's to come for international soccer in the next few months, plus a pretty cool friendly between Manchester United and Arsenal at SoFi Stadium later in the month.

Chris in GA is back with Dave to catch us up on the latest in the NBA's offseason.  We'll cover everything from the draft to Summer League and some big trades and free agent signings so far.   Big names on new teams, including a signature name in Klay Thompson going from Golden State to Dallas.  DeMar Derozan is on a new team, plus we look at the Lakers' new coach hiring in JJ Redick, JB Bickerstaff (Cavs' Former Coach) taking a new role as the Pistons coach, plus much more.

Mike in North Jersey and John in CT return to chat about the U.S. Open, won by Bryson DeChambeau after fighting off Rory McIlroy in a riveting finish. John also has an update from the Travelers Championship in CT where he made his annual in-person visit.   This was another exciting finish, but a more unusual ending than normal that included protests on the 18th green. All this plus additional golf coverage and a look-ahead to the Open next month.

Chris and Dave are back to put a cap on the fairly short, very successful, NBA Finals for the Boston Celtics who extend their NBA record to 18 championships.    We'll cover how this likeable, very deep, very strong defensive team put away the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 and what they did to limit Luka and Kyrie's impact on the series for Dallas. The Celtics find their moment, and we can also look ahead to the future to see if the C's may be back for more next year.   We'll chat about the NBA Playoffs in review as well, recap what has been a very exciting playoffs overall despite the short NBA Finals.

Chris and Dave recap Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Mavericks and Celtics from Boston. We also took comments from chat and recapped other items from the 2024 Finals after Boston's convincing 107-89 win in Game 1.

Chris and Dave return to recap a really disappointing, pretty short Conference Finals in the NBA, both East and West, where the Celtics and Mavericks both won their series very quickly. Later the two will preview the NBA Finals between said Celtics and Mavericks and all the incredible star power that goes with it. It's Jayson, Jalen, and Kristaps vs. Luka, Kyrie, and Daniel (Gafford). It's quite a matchup and the Mavericks, coming from nowhere, might even be a live dog. We'll preview the NBA Finals and take you through what to expect.

Mike and Andy are back to recap one of the most thrilling majors in recent years at Valhalla. Xander Schauffele finally gets his first major after a spectacular first round and a tremendous final round including some huge shots late, getting out of trouble and landing the ball when he needed it most to win the 2024 PGA Championship. This was quite a battle, featuring great performances by Bryson DeChambeau, Viktor Hovland, and many others. The crew will look at the event in total, the bizarre and tragic morning leading into Round 2 that put Scottie Scheffler in jail for a few hours, the low scoring in Round 3 coupled with the excitement of a tight leaderboard in Round 4, media coverage, and much more.

Chris and Dave return to, first, recap, a great run of two Game 7s in the NBA's Conference Semifinal round. The Timberwolves make a stunning comeback late in their game at Denver to win Game 7 on the road while the Pacers crushed the Knicks over in the Garden. It was a pair of unlikely road wins for two young, exciting teams. We'll also recap the remainder of the Mavericks' series win over the Thunder, plus look ahead at the Conference Finals. The Celtics will have loads of rest as they face the Pacers for the East Finals. Meanwhile, in Minneapolis, the Timberwolves will host the Mavericks in Game 1 of their first West Finals in 20 years. It's a lot of great NBA talk with a lot of exciting action and possibly the best yet to come in the conference finals.

Chris and Dave look at the many twists and turns in the NBA's second round of the playoffs.  Suddenly, the Timberwolves went from up 2-0, to tied 2-2 after losing both of their home games to the defending champion Nuggets.  Likewise, the Knicks are on their heels after losing a close call and then getting blown out in their two games in Indiana.   Did either side gain their momentum back on Tuesday night?  We'll discuss this plus the other series, then we'll look ahead to see potential Conference Finals matchups.

Chris in GA is back to continue the NBA Playoff talk with Dave.  We recap an all-time-great Game 6 between the Knicks and the Sixers featuring Jalen Brunson's standout performance, along with many other series endings, plus the Wolves Game 1 upset of Denver in the second round. Later, we continue the conversation by looking ahead to the Semifinal round in both conferences, matchups, games in progress, the Magic/Cavs Game 7, and more.

Our long time pre-Twitch friend and huge NBA fan Chris in Georgia, who many of you know as sportspope on YouTube, joins in to chat about the NBA Playoffs so far and some of the drama between all the contenders, possible upsets, and more.

Mike in North Jersey and John in CT are back with Dave to give us the latest happening in pro golf.   Scottie Scheffler rises again to win the Masters Tournament in Augusta, while swirling rumors surfaced of Rory McIlroy signing with LIV only to be diminished later on.   We'll share the news and notes from the PGA Tour and LIV and see if changes are in store for both leagues.

Our longtime friends Canadian Karen and "Coach" Andrew Jacobsen join Dave to chat about their beloved teams going against each other in the first round of the NHL's Stanley Cup Playoffs.  It's the Winnipeg Jets vs the Colorado Avalanche going best-of-seven. John in CT and Dave open the new year chatting about the extremely exciting College Football Playoff semifinals and the potential playoff spot chaos in the NFL.   We'll cover a back and forth duel between Alabama and Michigan in the Rose Bowl semifinal, and a game that nearly got away for Washington despite a dominant performance vs Texas in the Sugar Bowl semifinal. Later in the show, we'll discuss the NFL playoff pushes and the nearly dozen teams fighting for a select few playoff spots in the AFC and NFC.
