John Timmerman owns Good Monster, a Web strategy and digital marketing firm with an office in East Syracuse. He moved back to Central New York from Virginia. John Timmerman grew up in Clay, graduated with a degree in kinesiology from State University at Cortland, and started a career as a strength and conditioning coach. He dreamed of owning a gym. He moved to Boston, then to Richmond, Va. He trained professional athletes, managed a gym, started a fitness business and picked up a client who became his business mentor. Now, Timmerman is back in Central New York and the proprietor of Good Monster, a digital ad strategy company.
