Crack open the (party) poppers! The Screaming Queenz are 100 episodes old! We thought we should go back to our roots and cover camp Gothic classic 'The Old Dark House'. Directed by uber-queen James Whale and starring the next level queen Ernest Thesiger, this movie has queerness running through its veins as a group of stranded travellers take shelter at the rambling home of the Femms (no, really). JB Priestly's examination of post-war broken Britain became a Universal monster movie... without the monsters... but it did have Boris Karloff and Charles Laughton amongst a stellar cast, not to mention a surprise moment of cross-dressing... So have a po-ta-to, sit back and enjoy our take on a bona fide camp classic.
