Guided Lines

Shane hase been fly fishing ever since he was young- whether it was for Fine Spotted Cutthroat Trout on the dry in Jackson Hole, WY or throwing poppers at his local bass pond in Chicago, IL. Upon moving to Nashville for college at Belmont University, Shane sought out to learn the local rivers and apply his knowledge from past experiences out West. During college, Shane guided for Lillard Fly Fishing Expeditions in the summer of 2013. He led backcountry fly fishing trips in Colorado and North Carolina for kids of all experience levels. This is Shane's first season guiding in Tennessee. His primarily focus is on the Caney Fork River. "Holdover trout are few and far between in Middle Tennessee and the Caney provides fly fishermen with the opportunity to catch trophy fish. I do everything in my power to ensure that the trout in the Caney are treated with respect so that everyone has a chance to catch great trout." Shane says.
