While traveling solo in Europe, Kurt makes the acquaintance of a stranger who opens his eyes to the beauty of unexpected friendship. He ultimately learns of the wonders of France, the best way to wait out a severe lightning storm, and how to develop a life-long relationship. Kurt Weist is extraordinarily proud of his origins in Upstate New York and can still see the rolling hills of Onondaga County when he closes his eyes and slips into reverie. He moved, married, and settled here in Stumptown just over eight years ago -- which, really, ain't too shabby.
