Sinopsis

What is the value of dialogue? Dialogue is the exchange of ideas between two people in efforts to attain the truth. We argue that dialogue was an integral means in their process of discerning the truth. Some of Augustine’s earliest treatises were dialogues. Shortly after his conversion, Augustine spent some time engaging in dialogue with family and friends over the Life Questions. We also note that much of Aquinas’ exegesis was framed in dialogue with his sources from the early Church Fathers to the Scholastics.
