Back in the late 80's I was in a band called The Pseudo-Realists...it consisted of Brian Catanzaro and myself on guitars / Bruce Scofield on bass and Bob Torres on drums. We were coming to the end of the Pseudo's as founding member,Bruce, was in the process of moving to Massachusettes. So we got together one more time at Dungeon Studios owned by Brian's friend, Chris Bolger who engineered the session....6 or was it 7 tracks laid down in an evening with minimal or no overdubs.Here are 2 of the tracks:*The Pseudo-Realists- Bulgaria / an instrumental written by Brian inspired by "Le Mystere  des Voix Bugares"......a cd I got Brian for Christmas*The Pseudo-Realists - My good friend / also written by Brian and a favorite of mine.So to recap: the end of the Pseudo's / Brian writing this material / Bruce moving away and then the Pseudo's carried on with Mark Fogarty joining in on bass later in the year.Dig it and remember: almost no overdubsOriginal bassist Joanne Scofield designed
