God’s original intent was to meet with us. When He came to meet with the Israelites in Exodus they were afraid of the presence of God and asked Moses to speak to God for them. They liked the idea of doing things for God but not the idea of meeting with Him. The Bible says we should serve the Lord with fear. We need to have the right kind of fear. Our fear causes us to pull away from God but God’s fear causes us to draw near to Him. He wants to meet with us wherever we are, even in fear!
