Sinopsis

The Philadelphia 76ers had their “Big 3” debut night ruined in more ways than one; they fell to the Grizzlies 117-111, had Tyrese Maxey on a strict minutes-restriction and lost Paul George in the 3rd Quarter with a hyperextended left knee.   The Sixers’ much talked about team meeting showed a lot of positive effects on Joel Embiid who was reportedly called out by Tyrese Maxey for being late to team activities. Embiid responded by putting up a 35-point night in 35 minutes played. He also pulled down 11 rebounds.   The Grizzlies’ three-point shooting proved to be the difference in the game as they knocked down 19-of-43 from beyond the arch.   The excitement of Joel Embiid, Paul George and Tyrese Maxey playing together lasted barely a half as George hyper-extended his left knee in the early goings of tonight’s 3rd quarter. The Sixers’ key offseason acquisition hyper-extended the same knee in the preseason. Your favorite podcast now has a newsletter! In One-stop for ultimate team and league coverage delivered rig
