Sinopsis
The Philadelphia 76ers came back to the East Coast with authority as they pummeled the Brooklyn Nets in Brooklyn 123-94. Joel Embiid put up a game high 28 points while ripping down 12 boards in just 29 minutes of play. Meanwhile, Tyrese Maxey scored 18 points and added a team-high 7 assists. In total, the Sixers came away with 31 assists on the evening, a season high. Philly got off to a slow start allowing the Nets, to open an 11-0 lead after the first few minutes on play, but thanks to Embiid and Caleb Martin getting it going, the Sixers were able to get back into it. Martin scored 9 points in the opening frame on his way to a 17-point night on 7-of-8 shooting. It’s just the 5th time this season the 29-year-old has scored 17 or more in a game. Six years also got a nice contribution from a two way player, Justin Edwards chipped in 11 points off the bench while knocking down three of his 63 point attempts.Your favorite podcast now has a newsletter!
