76ERS POSTCAST: Shorthanded Sixers fight but fall to Thunder 118-102

The Philadelphia 76ers hosted the Western Conference leading Oklahoma City Thunder and despite a great effort from the Sixers’ bench, they fell to OKC 118-102. Not having Joel Embiid, Paul George and Tyrese Maxey available in this, the first game of a back-to-back was too much to overcome for Justin Edwards and company.   With no member of the Sixers “Big 3” available, Nick Nurse started Ricky Council IV, Kelly Oubre, Eric Gordon, Reggie Jackson and Guerschon Yabusele. Yabu led the Sixers starters with 17 points, but the star for Philly came off the bench to drop a team high 25 points. That “star” was Philadelphia native, Justin Edwards who was playing in just his 9th NBA game. Edwards shot 9-of-16 from the floor and 4-of-9 from three while also pulling down 6 rebounds with 4 assists.
