Sinopsis

The Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 126-112 thanks in large part to the Sixers being short staffed in the game as Tyrese Maxey missed the game with a lower back contusion. Also, Paul George left the game early as he is still dealing with a left groin strain. In their stars absence Quentin Grimes stepped up for the 76ers to lead the team in scoring with 30 points on 12-of-18 shooting and three-of-seven from three. Minnesota controlled most of the game but after a Kelly Oubre layup at the end of the third quarter the 6th with two seconds left in the third quarter the Sixers and Timberwolves were tied at 80 then on the ensuing inbounds play Mike Connolly took the ball across the court and knocked down a 35 foot 3 pointer to give the Timberwolves an 83 to 80 advantage. Minnesota would ride that momentum into the fourth quarter where they dominated the Sixers by 11 points to close out their victory.Your favorite podcast now has a newsletter!
