The news that the Kyle & Jackie O Show is coming to an end is a consequential one. The sudden and dramatic axing of FM radio's biggest show of the last two decades has enormous consequences not just for Kyle Sandilands and Jackie Henderson, but also for ARN Media and even rival Southern Cross Austereo. Tonight's ASX announcement also sets the stage for a legal battle between Sandilands and ARN. In an emergency edition of the Mumbrellacast, Tim Burrowes was joined by Ben Willee, executive director for media and data at Spinach Advertising to unpack the consequences of the media story of the year. What next for the two presenters, and how on earth will Kiis FM fill the breakfast shows in its tow biggest markets?
